"Compensate me within one month or let's take it to court. Your call."

Frantic door bells broke the peaceful demeanor of the penthouse. Erratic pounds on the front door sent shudders throughout the building.
"Min Yoongi, open the door! I know you are in there!"
The invader had been at it for at least half an hour and it seemed to finally dawn on the owner of the house that he wouldn't leave unless he got what he wanted. Issuing a sigh from his lips, he gently got up and padded up to the intercom to tap a button. Soon his home security system showed the resolute face of the man who once used to be a crucial part of his life.
"Leave Jung Hoseok." His voice was cold.
If Min Yoongi thought that it would deter the man, it only made him hopeful as he began to plead. "Yoongi, please. Don't do this."
"You have no business here." Was the only reply he gave.
"Look, I just want to talk. Come on, I'm your best friend!" Hoseok's desperate voice crackled through the system.
"You're no such thing."
The man outside his home seemed hurt by it. Good. That should make him leave him alone. But Yoongi had underestimated Hoseok's persistence.
"You know I needed that internship abroad, Yoongi. You know how much I've wanted to take this, how much I've wanted to perform there." Yoongi's fingers curled into a fist.
"But I knew it would hurt you. I knew it would make you feel like I abandoned you and that's why I hid it. I admit that was the dumbest move to spring that up on you at the very last minute but... I'm sorry. I need you back. I don't want to lose you again."
Yoongi observed through the intercom in silence. Hoseok stood outside darting his expectant gaze back and forth between the door and the camera of the intercom. The meager hope that seemed to glimmer in Hoseok's eyes sent a pang of something tugging at his heart but he soon crushed them, only anger replacing any emotion that might've been there once. Min Yoongi finally walked up to the door and pulled it open alighting the man's lips with a grateful smile. His fists clenched harder.
"Yoongi!"
"You weren't there when I needed you the most."
Hoseok's smile vanished. "Yoongi, I..."
"Leave. You should go away and just live your life. Leave me alone."
The door slammed shut. Yoongi turned his back against the door, leaning his head against it as he closed his eyes and breathed out. That must have done the trick. Hoseok's voice didn't call out for him anymore. Only forlorn silence remained on the other side. And then, slowly, the sound of retracting footsteps reached him, gradually growing quieter and quieter until he could hear them no more. Yoongi opened his eyes. The portrait of a woman in a witch brim hat stared back at him from across the room, her smile so bright it could have lit up a whole room, frozen in time in a mere photograph. As Yoongi's gaze found her, a humorless grin stretched his lips.
"Do you find this funny, Mom?"
His eyes grew dark as the grin faded.
"You're just like him. Just the same..."

The whooshing wind's breezy song filled his ears, touched his skin with their dampness, and left him feeling as though he was back. Back in a time he once used to be happy. His halcyon days.
