Then he pulled me in
Looked me in the eye
And said nothing
It was as if all that was meant to be said was in the silence of the room. The two of us. Bodies dislike yet sharing a similar heart beat.
Sharing the same moment that we wished to both feel.
The feeling of freedom although captive in his embrace.
I wanted nothing more than to stay this way. Stay as if we were born to remain this way forever.
It was a glisten of despair when he pulled away his grasp.
He didn't say why he pulled away or why he retreated when I so longingly wanted just one more touch. One more moment.
"What?" Was all I could muster, as if asking would solve the problem.
"Do you take me for a fool?" It was a demand. A question that meant to be answered at the moment.
"I'm sorry-" I blurted out trying desperately to understand before he walks away, "I don't understand what you mean."
"I know what you are."
And that moment, the embrace I had felt had a different meaning. A change that was created in the matter of a second.
"How could you tell?"
