The next two days are spent filming the same, longer scene with most of the cast on set. The scene was set at a town carnival where Annalise's and Joseph's characters have their first civil conversation, albeit still strained. This is before he makes a disagreeable comment about the date she brought to the party – Jamie's character – which ensues another argument between the two.
Although the script had Joe and Annalise at each other's throats, the pair found themselves laughing between takes.
"I'm not gonna lie, I was borderline scared for my life for a moment there," he said, rubbing the back of his neck, his tongue sticking out to touch his top lip.
"As you should be, Mr. Quinn. You have no idea what I'm capable of," Annalise responded, lifting her arm up to show off her muscle.
Joseph snorted and goes to feel her arm. "Yeah, never mind," he cringed, earning a smack in the arm from Annalise. Both erupted with laughter.
"Alright you two, back in positions," Martin smiled, before heading back to his seat.
She walked back over to her mark, making eye contact with Nicola who was beaming. Standing behind her was Jamie. He raised his eyebrow and shook his head.
"Let's run it again!" Alistair yelled.

"That was really brilliant, both of you," Martin stated as he walked off set with Joseph and Annalise, Nicola and Daniel in tow. "We can really feel the underlying sense of desire felt by both of your characters, even when you're standing off." He patted them both on the back and walked ahead, leaving them smiling at each other.
Daniel quickly grabbed Joe's shoulder, gaining his attention. "Well, I think since we've ALL done so well today, we deserve a drink."
"I second this," Nicole raised her hand. "None of us are needed until tomorrow evening for the sunset scene in Episode 4. Drinks in my room?"
"Please," Annelise groaned. "I feel like it's been decades since my last drink."
"You know me, I can never say no," Joseph added, hand now resting on his chest.
"I feel like that's something you should probably talk to someone about," added Nicola, a very serious expression on her face, causing them all to laugh.
They quickly headed back to their individual trailers to shower and get changed before calling a cab back to the hotel. Luckily, the hotel bar allowed them to buy a bottle of wine each to take with them up to Nicola's suite.
"So what's it like starring in a horror film?" Annalise asked Daniel once they all settled into seats in the lounge area of Nicola's room. She was sitting on the two-person couch next to Joe, Nicola in the lazy boy and Daniel in a chair brought over from the table.
"Fucking terrifying," he started, getting cut off by Joe.
"Thank you captain obvious."
Daniel gave him the bird, causing Joe to grab his chest like he'd been wounded, before continuing. "It's a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but the place where you have to go mentally to perform well in those gory fucked up scenes is draining. I had nightmares regularly while filming."
"Jeez, I don't know if I could do that," Nicola shivered before taking a long drink of her wine.
"And what about you, Lady Whistledown? Must feel brilliant having just wrapped up your big leading lady season?" Joseph asked.
"Oh it does, it really does," she beamed. "I cannot articulate just how much I love those beautiful people. It truly is like a family when I'm on set with them."
