I jumped over the table with all the pack warriors behind me. I picked up a scent. Cece. I followed the scent and when it began mixing with a familiar rouge scent I shifted into my wolf and ran faster. I came to a meadow where he was cornering her. Since I was the first one there I attacked him tackling him to the ground. We wrestled for a bit and I jumped off. I want to give him a far fight. We circled each other for a bit and I felt my packs presence. I a growl come from behind me when he took a step towards me. He must have saw Scott ready to attack for my protection. He looked at me in a way when some one says they will be back,like its not the last of him. I growled getting ready to attack when he took off towards our boarder. Some wolves took off after him and turned to Cece.
I shifted back into human form and I felt someone nudge me. I looked and saw Scott with clothes in his hand. I looked behind him and saw his mom right there with concern all over her face. I slid the clothes on and bent down to Cece.
"What happen?"
"I was walking to get the ball and that wolf was right there"
She moved over to the side and I saw the soccer ball. How did it get all the way out here? I sniffed it...Karen. I growled and looked at Scott who was now in human form, I tossed it to him. I picked up Cece and began walking back to the pack. We arrived back and Ceces parents cried with joy. I gave them to her and looked around for Karen.
I finally found her sitting down playing with her nails.
"You know you almost got a child killed" I yelled causing the pack to look at me. I watched for Karens reaction and she made an 'I don't know what you are talking about' face.
"Your scent is all over that ball"
"What if I was playing with it?"
"What if I didn't get there..What if non of us got there fast enough to save that little girl?? So many what ifs, but let me tell you something..Your scent the trackers would have found and you would be dead. No mater what rank you are. The law of wolf is death for a death. If that little girl would have died. You'd be gone to" I snarled.
Non of the pack stood against me. It was the law. Luna or not she must obey it. I felt Scott behind . I growled.
"Scott you see how she's talking to me" Karen whined.
I began walking away back towards my house. This conversation wasn't worth it.
I woke up around 3am and began getting ready by taking a shower. After that I got in a pair of jeans and my black shirt. I put a jacket on and made sure my badge was pinned on the inside. I quickly grabbed my suit cases and ran down the stairs opening the door and climbing into the taxi. No one could give me ride since no one knew that I was leaving.
I went through security and baggage claim, boarded my plane and sat down in my seat. I buckled up and waited for my plane to take off.
