Macaela's POV
I got up early this morning and I asked mum if I can walk to school. She said yes, with a bit of encouragement, that is. So as soon as I was ready I left to go to school.
As Im walking to school I take in the surroundings; bright blues skies, with light green grass and house's standing tall with a slight difference between them.
With me being distracted from taking in the surroundings I lost interest on what was behind me and didn't realise that there was a boy running towards me fast. But by the time I realised it was too late, as he already ran past me, bumping into me which knocked me over.
"Great, just great" I say to myself as I got up off the ground.
As I stand and begin to walk again, I figured he must have been running from something and at that moment I realised that I haven't seen him before. He looks to young to be out of high school, so maybe I'll see him today at school, maybe.
Not long after, I arrived at school and just in time too, because the bell just rang so off to maths I went.
We were in our usual classroom today with the distinctive smell of paint still very vibrant. But there seemed to be more people today, I suppose no one really comes to school on the first day.
As I walked into the class I begin to wonder, 'what seat do I sit at?' I spotted a seat at the back, second from the left, with the two desks either side both empty.
"Perfect" I say to myself as I placed my stuff on the desk and sat down.
The lesson started and Miss Jones was announcing what topic we were doing in maths.
Trigonometry, Pythagoras and Bearings. Not that bad Im actually really good at Trigonometry and Pythagoras its just the bearings part I don't really understand.
Not long after, the class got interrupted by a boy. A boy who had Galaxy type hair, looked bad ass with dreamy green eyes and black skinny jeans.
I ended up getting sooo distracted from him, with me starring at the door picturing him in my head, that I didn't realise he had sat to the right of me.
"Hi, I'm Michael" He gracefully whispered in my ear as he frightened me back into reality.
"Ahhh Hi... I--I'm Macaela" I struggled to pronounce, as the shook that a guy is actually talking to me, overwhelms me.
"Macaela, Macaela, Macaela," He states, "That's a really nice name."
I blush, and try to face the other way so that hopefully he doesn't notice I'm blushing.
"Hey... Wait, your that girl I ran into this morning," He announces, "Im so sorry about that, I was running away from some mates."
Angrily, I tried not to reply but there was no way I could hold a grudge against him, and besides he said he was sorry.
"It's all good... Well now that you have apologised," I replied, as I looked up at him and he looked back at me.
We were looking at each other for a couple of seconds, until we realised what we were doing, that is.
Miss Jones then assigned some Trigonometry problems to the class. It was really easy, I finished it really quickly and I think I might have been the first one finished.
I looked over towards my right where Michael was. He looked clueless, so I gave in and lent over and helped him.
I begin to explain, "Well you know the Trig ratios where Sin = Opposite over Hypotenuse, Cos = Adjacent over Hypotenuse and Tan = Opposite over Adjacent."
