"We're here." Randy said to Ray, who had been drifting in and out of sleep for the entire journey back home. It took a few attempts coupled with some gentle nudges before she woke up. When the woman opened her eyes it took a few seconds of yawning and stretching before she realized that they had finally reached the quiet Little Seoul cubby.
The CG compound was surprisingly empty despite the few cars that littered the parking spots. From the corner of his eye, Randy could see Chodie's back as he sold weed to a bored looking emo woman in her mid thirties. It must have been a busy day for everyone if Chodie was cornering his own product.
The feeling of someone staring washed over him as he looked up at the roofs, only to find Felipe laying on the ledge, watching him with judgmental green eyes. He immediately glared back. Felipe was the stray cat that practically lived in the cubby. Oftentimes it hung around Mr. K but the black cat was well loved by most of the residents of Little Seoul. Minus him and Ramee that is. They hated that fur ball. It always hissed at them and peed on their doormats which, in turn, resulted in both men hissing back or disrupting its sleep whenever they could.
Randy was so distracted by the CG cat that he didn't notice as Ray tiredly thanked him through a yawn and got out of the car, taking her bag and car keys with her.
"Ray..." The raven turned to face the man with white hair.
"What?" She said as she yawned for a second time. That was one of the first things she'd said to him since they left the mansion. Ray wasn't intentionally ignoring him, she was just tired. The hours in the gym felt productive and was a good outlet for her emotions but after all that she was exhausted.
"Nevermind."
"Okay. I'll see you later."
"Are you mad? At me?" For a moment she thought he was calling her crazy. Ray smiled at the British man and shook her head gently.
"Just tired. I'll see you later today or tomorrow."Randy didn't want to start an argument so he accepted her response and waved goodbye as she closed the door and unlocked her white G-wagon.
He stayed in his car for a few moments longer as he analyzed the situation. Clearly, Ray was still upset about what happened at the mansion but there wasn't much he could do to remedy the situation. His responsibility to the gang far outweighed whatever flimsy feelings he could've harbored for the woman. There were rules put into place for a reason and as much as some members, like Ramee, deviated from them he still had to keep his word. Maybe if he was involved with the Dragon's daughter then he would have wiggle room but that simply wasn't the case.
Randy was so plagued by his thoughts that he didn't notice the person walking up to his car and tapping on his window. He really needed to get some sleep, he couldn't afford to be caught lacking.
The sounds against the glass startled the distracted man, which caused an amused Miguel to chuckle at his reaction. Randy then got out of his Lexus and smacked the Hydra member upside the head.
"How did it go?" Was his first question after his audible "ow!"
"Where's the respect you idiot?" Randy then made a joking remark about how he was the older man's OG, to which Miguel responded with a shrug and a quick hello.
"So how did it go? You guys shot her?" He repeated nosily.
Randy didn't want to spill any details before he got an opportunity to speak to K so he simply nodded and refused to elaborate further. He wondered why the CG member was hanging around the cubby alone but his question was answered once the Irish man spoke again.
"Where's April?" Of course.
"She's not going to bang you, you know? No matter how much you do the best friend bullshit." Randy silently studied his neutral facial expression. Clearly Miguel must've thought the solid face didn't give off too much information.
