A Face Of The Past

Jen smiled from a makeshift infirmary tent, watching the arena floor as Belth and Lasper practiced their skills... While subtly flirting or showing off to the ladies. Though, to be honest, that was more on Lasper's part.

The sin'dorei was surrounded by anyone able to heal. "You know, it's not like I'm dying. It was a fun fight." Jen laughed out. Lexi rose an eyebrow to the girl. "Hey, I was planning that you'd win."

Jen's eyes shied away. "Well, to be honest with you. I didn't want to do anything to kill him. All of my moves were evasively planned."

Lexi nodded. She turned from standing in front of the tent to now watching the fight go on.

Jen looked at each of the faces of the people around... A gentle faced druid kal'dorei with brilliant blue hair, a stern faced troll with glistening green hair, a hooded sin'dorei woman whose wispy white hair peeked out, and a sweet faced kal'dorei woman. Her eyes were covered with a hood. White with gold lining. Jen tilted her head, recognizing all but one of the females.

She sat up straight, leaning out to touch the priest's arm. She flinched then glanced down at her. Voice as soft as silk spoke. "Are you in need of medicine, Jen? Are you alright?"

Jen smiled at the woman. She was kind in both voice and being. "Nah, I'm good. But I don't think we've met. Who are ya?"

Full plum-colored lips curled into an elegant, attractive smile. "I am Daey. I am a priestess of the Light, and I accompany those men in the arena around the world. They have a tendency to get injured often."

Jen laughed, then froze in cold sweat as a wave of sharp pain crashed over her. Daey seemed alarmed, and rested her onto her back. The paladin was immediately at Jen's attention, healing. "Xion, you're too serious and attentive. I'm honestly fine."

A child's voice rang back. "I don't give a... You shut up and let me heal you. You got a cut through the stomach which could be fatal."

A blanket now covered Jen, one soft and magically enchanted to create the perfect temperature and extract humidity or unnecessary water from inside. In other words, this was the ideal traveling blanket. "I noticed you only said your first name... What of your surname?"

Her voice grew soft, and kept as so from then on. "Daey is sufficient. My surname is unnecessary to know." Lexi looked back, a look of mixed emotions unknown, then turned away moments after. She seemed so lost in thought. Jen's eyes rested on Lexi's tense body.

I've never seen her like this.

Daey's ears twitched. "You are thirsty, and you need to make more blood. I'll hurry to Booty Bay for extra water." She stood up, brushing off her white robes and left curtly. Lexi nodded to her as she left. "... Lexi? Can you come in here?"

Aerith and the troll stood up and left as well, to watch the fight. "Zizi, how did.." Their conversation wavered out of earshot as they wandered off. All left was Xion, Lexi and Jen.

Xion sat beside Jen, body fully tense, as if ready to leap the next time she doubled over in pain. Lexi sat beside Xion. "She and you look kind of alike."

"Except she's alive and beautiful?"

Jen frowned. "You're a beauty of your own unique self. Besides, you're beautiful enough to have a fiancé."

"If even that. I bet he died the moment he stepped through Draenor's portal. And you can't forget you've got a husband too."

"I haven't seen him in so long, he never keeps in touch. He's probably dead too!"

An undead sin'dorei popped his head in the tent, hair beautifully crimson. His face was cold, pale. But his chin was chiseled. He might be dead but he's a hotty! "Someone called for me?" He winked.

Jen, Lexi and Xion alike stared at him. "The.."

"Gem?!" Jen's eyes widened.

"Oh yeah, that's my name. Killing anyone who opposes me and my babe is my game. You seem pretty wrapped up in bandages right now. You good?" He sauntered into the tent, emerald armor clanking about. He kissed Jen on the cheek. Lexi chuckled. "Well, an unexpected turn in the conversation but highly romantic."

He wrapped an arm around Jen's neck, guiding her head to rest against him. Jen awkwardly moved to lay against him. "Xion, go get more bandages. I have a feeling Belth and Lasper will be done soon."

Xion nodded and saluted as she rushed off. Lexi laughed heartily. "Hey little boy, she's still hurting so be careful. Come watch the fight with me."

Gem shrugged. "Okay." And left the tent, Jen alone. Lexi grinned quietly after a few moments, hearing a groan of frustration from the tent.

I never asked her why she was so tense! Fel!

((Author's note. Totally adding friends and people into this, but I might need help writing scenarios my characters are in. I'd love to write how they'd all react... Leave any suggestions in the comments, and I'll think of what I can do! Thanks! Oh, and another note. I might be writing a skyrim/WoW mash up perhaps. I'm still considering it, though.))
