THE WRITERS NOTE

My name is Inyang, Emem Effiong, but please do call me Riverz.

This book OBSESSION...HEART DESIRE is my most significant project. I have dedicated both time and energy to this book. It may not be the best book you have come across, but I promise you it is a book you will love to read.

I started this book on 1 February 2022, and it ended on 13 August 2022. In this book, I have been able to portray, first, the difficulties an average Christian goes through. Then second, how the emotions of man can possibly take possession of them?

OBSESSION HEART DESIRE revolves around a young girl who develops a sickness after the sudden experience of the death of their father. Her uncle sets in as her principal rival and will stop at nothing to see her very miserable.

The main character, Rotimi shuts down her world totally since her dad had left. Her high school rival is later frustrated by her as she uses her position in her father's hotel to take proper revenge on her.

Femi, Rotimi's brother, is madly in love with a Christian girl and will stop at nothing until they get married. Their love was truly genuine, and with God by their side, they could get married. Femi cared little or nothing for Rotimi as he was busy with the improvement of the Art Gallery his father left under his care.

Rotimi begins to shake the basis of Chief Oluwaseun's (her uncle) Ritual when Oluwaseyi gets into the picture. Oluwaseyi here is an average guy who is a Christian too, greatly moved with compassion the very first time they met. And meets her again when he looks for a convention hall, and it happened to be in the Art Gallery, and Femi was his one-time friend.

Sam is a Christian, too but was obsessed with fame and popularity. The vanity of these things becomes real before his eyes when he takes up Rotimi's case. It wasn't his intention, though, but his reasons only revolved around the fact that he just didn't want to play in the mud because he had new boots on.

Mitchell, A sad girl, on the other hand, whose heart went after pleasing her father, who will not stop blaming her for the loss of his favorite daughter. This scene helped me point out the danger of having a favorite child.

Senator Tunde and Senator Lawal are traffickers, but the law is not fighting them because the law does not know what they are doing. Rotimi takes a keen investigation after the misunderstood death of Oluwaseyi, and she takes the law into her hands as she kills them herself.

OBSESSION....HEART DESIRE evolves genuinely around the everyday events that take place and their consequences. This book is a Christian-Thriller and Fiction. It aims at telling the world that the heart would always want what it wants, as the excellent book (the Bible) says that we should guard our hearts diligently, that from there comes the issues of life.

Nothing in here is real. They are all imagined and written. If any of these events happens to be accurate, it is a coincidence and wasn't planned on purpose.
