i stared at cole flabbergasted at what just came out of his mouth. as much as i wanted to hear it, hearing him actually say it made me have a mini heart attack.

well, kind of say it.

he didn't REALLY say it, but i knew what he meant.

i stammered a lot before actual words came out of my mouth. "excuse me?"
"i love you, y/n. so much. i have for a while now, honestly." his last sentence came out quiet as he looked down, swaying side to side slightly. "i knew you still had some shyness in you." i giggled, making him look at me as i grazed my hand through his hair. "i love you too, cole." he immediately engulfed me in a tight hug, his face nuzzled into the crook of my neck. "you make me so happy." he mumbled, squeezing me even tighter.

both of us laid on my couch. it was around 9 PM, and cole was dead asleep. his head rested on my chest as his arms were wrapped around my waist. one of my hands played with his curls while the other clutched my phone, scrolling endlessly. then, a message popped up on the top of my screen.

eliza: y/n queen are you there?

julia: are you okay?

you: cole told me that he loves me :)

eliza: NO WAY

julia: i think i missed a few chapters

you: i made up with braeden and then cole texted me saying that he wanted to talk about something serious
and that something serious was him telling me he loves me
:)

julia: the way i teleported to the rooftop

eliza: i'm crying
like actually
sobbing

julia: well at least braeden isn't plotting cole's death anymore!

i let out a loud laugh, quickly covering my mouth. because of the noise, cole shifted slightly and unwrapped his arms from around me. even though i wasn't comfortable from the position he was in, i knew he was comfortable. i had to stay still to not disturb him.

i sighed, adjusting myself a little. "sorry, but i need to pee." i whispered, trying carefully to slip out from underneath him.

i knew i was successful when my feet reached the floor and i fully stood up, but that was until i felt his hand softly clasp onto mine. he let out a groan and i looked down at him to still see him asleep. he mumbled something followed by a large exhale. "what?" i giggled. "stay." cole managed to get out, now snaking his arms around my legs loosely. i kneeled down beside him and started to play with his hair. "cole."
"mhm?" he barely opened his eyes, smiling softly once he saw me.

he's so adorable.

i crossed my arms. "i really need to use the bathroom. i'll be back before you know it." i kissed his head as he let out another mumble, going back into his slumber. i rolled my eyes playfully, standing back up.
