Everyone's pov:

Today is Prince james and princess Amber's birthday .Royal palace has hosted a ball today .All their friends from royal prep are invited along with their respective parents. James was standing with Zander and Desmond talking about their previous ice hockey match . When princess Vivian came to them ever since Sofia and she did a project together she made a lot more friends. She was still shy in her own way though. She came near them
"Prince james happy 18th birthday this is for you "she said handing him flowers
Desmond and Zander smirked at james
"Thank you princess Vivian I really appreciate it " said james looking at her
Today she was looking prettier than usual her fringe grew and she kept it at side now .Her hair were loose with a bow at the back .She was wearing a light pink coloured gown with a v neck . It was perfectly hugging her curves .Yes she was not as pretty as Sofia but she still looked nice and different .
James was checking her out from head to toe she blushed tomato red at this gesture.Zander and Desmond's smirk grew wider .
" Nice meeting you guys where's Sofia and Amber i want to wish her too "Vivian asked still blushing
"Um Amber is with Hildy and Clio "james said pointing to Amber
"And I haven't seen sof today maybe she's getting ready" he told her adverting his gaze from her
She left them and went where Amber and others were
After she left Zander looked at James suspiciously"She sure look hot today Usually she looks rather plane " He said with a chuckle
"I guess she is pretty "said Desmond smiling
"Oh come on she was looking like she looks usually"said James casually
At that Zander shot him a sly smile
"Someone here was undressing her with eyes and now saying she looked normal what an irony " he said still smiling slyly
James glared at him "I am not at all interested in her .She is nice but she is not my type .I usually go for more confident and fun girls" He replied as he was talking his gaze shifted to a certain Princess she was slowly making her way to the ball .Today she wore a navy blue off shoulder gown and she was looking stunning.James could not take his eyes off the princess. She was then approached by Hugo and they began to dance.James did not like it at all .They were laughing and Hugo had his hand on Sofia's waist . He was raging inside but quickly they were interrupted by King Roland "Good evening to all of you .I am very pleased to see all of you gathered here for my beloved son and daughter's birthday .on this occasion Princess Vivian of Zumaria will play a song for us ". Everybody along with James starting clapping
Vivian started playing on a piano as she was playing she was really melodious .Her fingers were slowly playing on the keys . She closed her eyes and after she was done everyone started applauding and praising her.
She walked back to the girls "you did so well viv" Sofia said smiling
Vivian only muttered a shy thank you
King Roland Once again took the mic
"What a beautiful song Princess Vivian has played. By the way as we all know our relations with Zumaria are very strong from ages King Marcus has always been my dear friend .James is grown up and He has to have a worthy partner as a royal. I as a father has responsibilities for his good will So I and Queen Miranda along with King Marcus and Queen Cecily have decided to become a family by betrothing my son to princess Vivian ."
Everyone strting congratulating them but James and Vivian were both shocked
James felt his heart breaking at this point but he stayed quiet because he can't create a scene here .
"Their wedding will take place next week "announced King Roland
James without saying a word left the ball .Sofia ran behind him
"James wait" she called behind him.
"Yes Sofia what do you want to say"?asked james in a very disappointed tone
"James i know you're upset by all this and you are not ready for this .we can talk to him about it later maybe he will cancel this wedding." She said in a concerning tone
She then wrapped her arms around him and patted his back "Everything will be fine" she whispered into his ear
They were interrupted by Vivian who cleared her throat
"Ahem Sofia can I talk to you alone for a moment?"she asked nervously
Sofia broke the hug and said yes . James left.
Vivian looked at sofia with a tear in her eye "Sof I thought they will find some other solution" she said sadly
"What do you mean by solution"asked sofia
"Zumaria is struggling financially we don't even have a strong military right now . Albertia is planning an invasion on us and Enchancia too . Because Enchancia got a strong military Dad wanted us to be allies this is why its happening". She explained
"Can't we be allies without this betrothal?" Asked Sofia
"Sofia to royals like us this is the only way" she replied with a bit of disappointment in her voice
"Sofia mom told me about it earlier for my consent I told her I have no problem but I didn't know James won't be happy with this".she explained looking at sofia with tears .Sofia was happy at this
"Viv It means you like James? "She asked
Vivian looked away shyly and said yes
Sofia elbowed her playfully "Viv I will talk to James he is just freaking out because its too sudden for him I am sure he will like you too." She said with a wink .
"I trust you sof" she said .
They both hugged each other and returned to ball.
Meanwhile James heard everything and He was furious at Vivian for this.
