Like The Waves [A Lisoo Story]

Chapter 6

Jennie brings out some food while the rest are cleaning. Lisa notices Jisoo not eating so she walks over to her.

"Why aren't you eating?" Lisa asked.

"I don't have an appetite." Jisoo replied, still cleaning.

"But you haven't eaten all day!" Lisa exclaimed. "Are you sure?" 

Jisoo nods. 

"You should rest. Let me see your hand." Lisa said before gently taking Jisoo's hand. The bandages on her hand was stained with blood.

"Stop pushing yourself so hard, you should wait for it to heal." Lisa softly scolds her before replacing the old bandages with new ones.

"It's fine, you guys keep doing all the work, I should help too." Jisoo insisted before taking her hand again.

"But do you promise if you feel sick or hurt that you'll stop working and tell me?" Lisa asked.

"I promise." Jisoo replied.

"Good." Lisa said with a smile.

That night, it was finally quiet, without any bumpy rides, without any thunder, lightning nor rain. It was peaceful.

In the morning, Lisa wakes up first to find Jisoo sweating a lot while shivering. She places her hand onto Jisoo's forehead before wiping her sweat and placing a damp towel on her forehead. 

Jisoo slowly wakes up and sees Lisa taking care of her.

"Go back to sleep, okay? You're sick." Lisa tells her.

Jisoo closes her eyes again and drifts off to sleep. Chaeyoung wakes up. 

"Is Jisoo okay?" Chaeyoung asked while walking beside Lisa.

"She has a fever." Lisa replied before removing her bandage.

"The wound looks infected." Chaeyoung tells her. "Hang on." Chaeyoung gets a bucket of water from the bathroom and uses it to wet some cotton in the first aid kit. Then, she lightly cleans the wound.

Jisoo winces in pain. Lisa notices this and holds Jisoo's hand. Not long after, Chaeyoung wraps her wound with a new bandage.

"Thanks." Lisa said with a small smile.

"We have to make sure every one of us gets out of here alive." Chaeyoung replied. "Speaking of which, I'm going to check on the boat deck." She quickly walks out of the boat.

Jennie wakes up from the commotion.

"I'm gonna go see what Chaeyoung is up to." Jennie said before quickly walking out to the boat deck.

After about an hour, Jisoo wakes up to find Lisa by her side.

"How are you feeling?" Lisa asked softly.

Jisoo clutches her chest tightly.

"Your chest hurts?" 

Jisoo gently nods.

"You stay here and rest, I'll get you some water and food." Lisa said before walking off.

Not long after, she comes back with a small bag of food and a bottle of water. Jisoo immediately drinks the water to quench her thirst.

"You still look really pale, you should rest more." Lisa said while replacing the towel on Jisoo's forehead with a new one.

"I should go check on the two of them." Lisa stood up, but before she could move, Jisoo grabbed her arm.

"D-don't go." She said weakly, using every bit of her last strength.

"Okay, I won't go anywhere, I'll stay right here, beside you, okay?" Lisa comforts Jisoo.

Jisoo gives out a weak smile, it was a small smile but Lisa could see that it was a genuine smile. Lisa smiled back at her before sitting beside her and continuing to take care of her.
