Like The Waves [A Lisoo Story]

Chapter 7

It is slowly turning dark outside. Suddenly, Chaeyoung runs into the boat.

"We saw light! Land is near. We have to continue steering for the night!" Chaeyoung said hurriedly.

"Quickly, Jisoo doesn't seem to be getting any better." Lisa desperately replied.

"I'll try to make it quick." Chaeyoung replied before running back on the boat deck.

After a few minutes, Jennie runs in the boat. 

"Wake her up, we're almost at land." Jennie said before rushing back to the deck.

Lisa gently nudges Jisoo's shoulder to wake her up. "We're getting out." 

Jisoo weakly smiled. Lisa helps her get up and get on the boat deck. They find out that they are at a creek. When they see land, they immediately get out of the boat.

"Excuse me." Jennie taps a man on the shoulder. The man turns around.

"Yes?"

"Do you know where we are?" Jennie asked.

"Oh, you must be from the boating club! We are in Jeju Island." The man smiled. "Welcome."

"Thank you." Jennie rushed back over to her friends. "We're in Jeju Island."

Lisa piggybacks Jisoo as they rush over to a cab.

"Hospital, please." Chaeyoung said before closing the door.

The drive was about a few minutes, but then they got out immediately after they arrived at the hospital. They ran to the front desk and explained the situation to them. 

After that, Jisoo was taken to the emergency room while they wait.

"That's them." They see the cab driver pointing at them. A few officers walks over.

"The driver complained you didn't pay for your ride, is that true?" The officer asked.

Lisa explained the whole story.

"Can one of you guys come down to the department to explain it to the higher ups and clarify the story?" Another officer asked.

"I'll go." Chaeyoung volunteers, knowing that Lisa is going to want to be by Jisoo's side while Jennie looks tired.

Then, Jennie and Lisa sees Chaeyoung walking with the officers out of the hospital.

After about another hour of waiting restlessly, a doctor comes out and talks to them.

"Hello. I'm Doctor Han. The patient is in room 3. You can go visit. She has contracted pneumonia and she will slowly be better if treated meticulously." The doctor said before leading them to Jisoo's room. 

"Thank you." Lisa said before watching the doctor walk away.

She sat beside Jisoo, holding her hand. It scares her to see Jisoo in such condition, with machines beeping all around, with the machines strapped to her.

"She will be fine. She'll pull through." Jennie comforted Lisa.

Doctor Han comes in once again.

"An officer had told me what happened, your friend is here too. I'll have to take some tests on all of you to make sure you're fine." Doctor Han took Jennie first out of the room.

"How is she?" Chaeyoung asked before sitting beside Lisa.

"The doctor said that over time, she'll heal." Lisa said in a helpless voice.

"Hey, don't lose hope okay? If the doctor says so, all we do is have to take care of her and wait. She'll get better eventually." Chaeyoung reassured Lisa.
