Tanjirou sat down next to his manager, Murata, and glanced around the clutter. Papers and newspapers were spread around the table, each one bearing headlines and photographs that made his heart sink. His eyes were drawn to the images of himself, and even worse.... Kanao.

Murata, noticing Tanjirou's unease, sighed and began to speak. "So, Tanjirou, I just want to talk about you and Kanao-san"

Before Murata could continue, Kanao's voice interrupted from the kitchen. "What about me?" Overhearing her name.

Tanjirou's reflexes kicked in. He quickly covered Murata's mouth and hastily gathered the papers from the table, making her unable to see what's in it. Kanao, who had entered with tea, noticed his actions and raised an eyebrow.

"What's going on?" Kanao asked, setting the cups down and eyeing the redhead with suspicion.

Tanjirou offered a nervous laugh. "I just thought I'd clear the table, since I knew you were coming with the tea."

Silence hung in the air as she studies the scene before her, especially, her boyfriend. She shot her eyes towards him, creating a tension from Tanjirou's body. He nervously trembles as she stares at them.

The papers is one thing, it was in the floor, scattered messily, that piqued her interest. In reflex, her hand slowly approaches one of the papers, until a hand stopped her. He held her wrist as she leaned back and look at him.

"Tanjirou?"

He stayed in his composure, it's not worth it to be nervous around her right now, it will blow his cover... "Those papers... It's a bit private to see, Kanao, but I appreciate your willing to help clean them up. Don't worry about it." he said, smiling as she stood up.

That comes to her realization, so that's why Tanjirou is overreacting that much. She returned the smile, respecting the privacy the two needs, she nodded, leaving the two alone. Tanjirou sighed in relief, and whispered to Murata, "Can we talk about this in the car? Please?"

Murata looked puzzled, but nodded, taking a sip of tea before standing up. As they headed outside, Tanjirou handed Murata his car keys, explaining he'd be back soon. Murata assumed Tanjirou needs to inform Kanao of their departure.

Tanjirou quickly returned to the house, noticing Kanao in the kitchen, absorbed in kneading dough. He approached her with a faint smile, his cheeks flushing slightly.

"Did Murata-san already leave? I saw you two going out." Kanao asked, glancing up from her work.

"Uh, no. I was about to let you know we're leaving for, um, work-related stuff. It won't be long, I promise," Tanjirou stuttered, struggling to explain the truth.

Kanao's sharp eyes detected his nervousness. She turned to him, her face marked by an amused yet disapproving look. Before making a comment, she turned her face away from his with a disapproving look, as she replies, "I see you're getting better at lying."

Tanjirou's shoulders tensed. "N-No, i-it's... Look, it's still about work."

Seeing this reaction, she stiffed a laughter, seeing how nervous he is when she pretends she's mad, it never fails to make her laugh... Enough of the teasing, her expression softened, and she offered him a reassuring smile. "Okay, don't worry. I trust you."
