[Name] didnt know what to do. It was just awkward silence. No one was talking, both of them catching glances at each other. Awkward smiles, the cows saying "moo". A bird cawing or whatever. Just awkward. Hell, there was even a cricket chirping. Weird I know.
"So... how you doing?" She asked, smiling, trying to lighten the mods a bit. It didn't work much but she still gave a little attempt.
"I'm fine," he shrugged. His eyes avoiding hers again, his gaze downcast and his fingers playing with some strands of hair in his face. His voice sounded slightly strained and he avoided her gaze. It wasn't really that awkward for him. He liked the silence, and was comfortable with it.
"You know, you dont have to feel awkward whenever I'm around right?” He looked over at her, eyebrows raised. Her eyes were looking away from him.
“We're friends too right? You don't need to act like this." He looked back up at her, his eyebrow raised higher.
He knew she wanted nothing more than to have a good relationship with him. "Remember when we were kids? We would always sneak downstairs to the kitchen and steal some snacks? We had to be really quiet so Klaus or Diego wouldn't asknus for food." They laughed at the memory, memories of times spent together, the memories making them happy.
“So...Ben's alive, Diego has a kid, Viktor had a haircut, new people in out house and Klaus knowing who his mother is...that wasn't really in my bucket list." [Name] trying to process it right now. Five relaxed and not worrying about it. She was trying to give hints on how everything will be horrible soon but apparently its not working.
“Relax, just tell me what happens in that story book of yours." He said as he pointed to the book she was holding. The topics they were talking about changed quickly, for they both dont know how to keep a conversation going sometimes.
“Well, in this story...its a romance angst story. Its where the man and woman fall in love and encounter some weird shit together with their family...spoiler alert...the girl or guy dies...i dont remember..." Five listened to her summarizing the story. She was rambling but thats kinda cute. She doesnt realize she said that out loud until Five chuckled quietly. [Name] looked up at Five, her smile faltering a bit. "What?"
"Nothing," he smiled. Her cheeks went pink, but she started talking again. "Anyways, I finished the book which is a perfectly good reason to buy me another...please" She smiled again, this time with full teeth and bright red lips. Five had a staring contest with her for a few minutes. Her smile falters as she knew she wouldn't get a new book any time soon.

"Is Klaus done? I wanna go home already. I miss the dog I saw in the hotel..." [Name] whined as she lied down on the car seat. Five looked over at her, she was staring outside the window, her hands folded behind her head. "Hurry up! I want to eat dinner before it's dark out." She was getting impatient but Five ignored her.
