One week later...
Ginawa ko na lahat ng dapat kong gawin, ihanda yung susuuotin niya, almusal at lahat lahat. Nakasched ngayon ang interview ko at dapat di ako malate. Naligo na ako. Nakacorporate attire ako. White 3/4 sleeve blouse at black pencil skirt. Ok, mukha na itong formal. Nagstockings na rin ako at naglagay ng make up. I'm ready, sana matanggap ako.
Fresh milk and toast lang ang kinain ko. Nang mahugasan ko na ang plato ko. Narinig kong pababa na ng hagdanan si Nate.
" Wow. You look stunning !"
" Thank you." I blushed.
" Breakfast ?" Umupo na siya sa isa sa mga bar stool.
" French toast, bacon, egg, and coffee. What else would Sir like to eat ?" Ipinatong ko ang plato sa lamesa. "YOU." He said, flashing his killer smile. "Nathan, I'm serious." I giggled.
" Oh my god, magsisix na, malayo pa biyahe ko. Pagkatapos mo kumain, iwanan mo na lang diyan yung pinggan ako na maghuhugas ah, ok ?"
" Yes Ma'am. Good luck sa interview mo. Ingat sa pagdrive. " He said the last statement in a mocking way. Alam niya kasi na E'm a bad driver. I kissed him goodbye at umalis na ako.
Mga 8 na ako nakapunta, the company that I'm applying for is MCM Inc. Its a company that owns 67 High end clubs nationwide and planning to branch out abroad.
So, the first interview with the Boss' employee went well, kasi she told me na bumalik ako bukas. Thank God at hindi ako sinabihan ng tatawagan na lang ako dahil pagsinabihan ka ng ganun it means your 50-50.
Nakakagutom yung interview nagstop over muna ako sa isang fast food chain at naglunch ako. Habang papasok ako I bumped into someone's chest. " Ouch." I cried.
" I'm sorry." He said. " Agatha ?" He added.
Napatingin ako sa pagkakayuko ko at nakita ko si Matt.
" Matt." I'm surprised.
Tnreat niya ako ng lunch. Is today my lucky day ? I asked myself. Umupo na kami sa isang table, kumain at nagkwentuhan kami.
" How are you na ?" He asked me.
" I'm fine, what about you ?"
" Good, kakauwi ko lang galing Conservatoire de Paris. Di ba natanggap karin sa scholarship anong nangyari ?"
" Uhmm, remember kinasal ako agad after college." I knotted my fingers.
"Oh, Kay Nathan." I nodded.His face suddenly shift from north to south. Oh my god nasesense ko na may something parin sa akin si Matt.
" Next month will be my First concert, sa CCP. Nuod ka, uhm kayo ni Nate." I can sense his nervousness by the way he tapped his foot under the table.
" Sure, sure, ikaw pa. " I touched his hand. "Wow, at last, congratulations. I'm so happy for you."
Nasa kwarto na kami ni Nathan, he's in his usual night attire. White shirt and boxers. Ako naman nasa mood magnight gown. Humiga na kami sa kama. " Hows the interview ?" He asked caressing my bare arm. " Ayos naman, uhm pinababalik ako bukas." I said. He smiled genuinely. " Btw. Nakasalubong ko si Matt,sabay kaming naglunch." I added. His smile slid off his face.
" Matt, Matthew Sandeja ?" He half growled.
" Kakauwi nga lang niya galing Conservatory of Paris. Inaya niya rin ako, tayo na manuod sa first Concert niya, At last narating na rin niya yung dream niyang magperform as Soloist sa CCP." I envy him.
" Hindi ka ba nagsisisi na pinagpalit mo yung scholarship mo dun para magpakasal sa akin? I mean gnive up mo yung career mo just for me..." The tone of his voice is so cold and sad. Hindi ko na tinignan pa ang mga mata niya.
" Of course not." I put my hand on his face and he lean to my touch. He closed his eyes and Covered my hand with his. " You're the best thing ever happened to me." Still caressing his face.
" Masaya ka ba ngayon ?" He pouted his lips.
" Yup, bcoz, I'm lying on the bed next to the person I loved the most , and will love for the rest of my life." I explained. He smiled.
" I love you." He whispered. He looked disturbed in a way, but I'm not that sure. I ignored it. " I love you too." He touched my lips with his.
Tulog na si Nathan sa tabi ko. Biglang kong naisip ang mga sinabi niya sa akin kanina at ang expression ng mukha niya.
Napaisip tuloy ako kung ano kaya ako ngayon kung hindi ko siya pinakasalan, kami parin kaya hanggang ngayon ? Soloist na rin ba ako katulad ni Matt. Magkatabi ba kami ni Nathan ngayon o nasa Paris pa rin ako busy sa Violin. Tinigilan ko na ang pagtatanong sa sarili ko. Sumasakit lang ang ulo ko. Bumangon ako sa kama, kinuha ang kaparehas na pampatong sa night gown ko. Bumaba ako para uminom ng mahimasmasan naman ako.
Kumuha ako ng fresh milk sa fridge door at naglagay ng kaunti sa baso.
Umupo ako sa bar stool at hindi ko na namang maiwasan na tanungin ang sarili ko. I covered my face with my hands. What if I ask him the same question ? What will he answer ?
As far as I'm concern di pa naman siya nagpapakita ng motibo na nagsasawa na siya sa akin. Tinanggal ko na ang mga kamay ko sa pagkakatakip sa aking mukha at nagulat ako.
" Oh my god, Nathan !" Napahawak ako sa puso ko. I saw my husband sitting on the opposite bar stool leaning his arms on the table. Now, clad only in his boxers. I was momentarilly destructed by his perfect body form. I bit my lip.
" I reached an arm to touch you, pero wala akong nahawakan. Nandito ka lang pala." He's worried.
" I'm sorry, nauhaw ako eh. Coffee ?" I offered him. " No, thanks. What I need right now is for you to answer my questions."
" Nate, stop it. Wala ako sa mood."
" Wait." He caught my wrist.
" What ?"
Sasagot na sana siya ng biglang nagring ang cellphone niya. Mabilis siyang tumakbo paakyat sa kwarto. Sinundan ko siya. He looked down on his Cp's screen and something disturbing flew across his lovely face. Sinagot niya yung ito at naglakad sa balcony. I can still hear him.
" Hello......What?...... Calm down.... Nasaan ka?......... Alright, stay still I'm coming.." Bawat sagot niya tumitingin siya sa akin. Parang nagiingat talaga siya sa mga isasagot niya. Tumingin ako sa orasan and it tells that its 2:35 am.
" Anong nangyari ?"
" Mamaya na lang emergency to." Binuksan niya ang closet at kumuha ng T-shirt at Pants at isinuot ito. I straightened his shirt and finger comb his messy yet sexy hair.
" Darling, whatever is it, take care. Jacket, its quite cold out there. I love you." His face visibly relaxes. " I will, Thank you. I love you too, very much." He kissed me on my forehead. I watched him walked outside the door and break into a run and quickly slide into his car and he's gone.
Sino kaya yung tumawag kay Nathan ? Company ? Family friend ? Friends? Relative or his Parents? Oh my god.
