~Lucy's POV~

I went downstairs reading a message from mum saying that she wouldn't be coming home tonight, like always, I didn't reply & I told Calum I was ready.

We headed to the bus stop on the corner of my block, it was such a nice day today.

"So how was Sydney? Did you miss it?" I asked, trying to not be awkward.

"Yea a little I mean I kind of grew up there, so it was good to be back for a bit, I just relaxed the whole time" he said very casually.

"Well I'm glad you moved here Hood, if you hadn't I'd still have the worst friends ever." I said remembering, Clarissa.

Clarissa Taylor. The "hottest" girl at school, she was always the most popular. We were best friends. Until she replaced me & Calum for her boyfriend in year 8. I remember how it was always Calum, her & I. The inseparable trio, the three best friends. Those were the best days of my life, but that all changed in a second. Somehow my life went from being the happiest girl on earth, to trying to overdose on pills the next day. My life was a huge mess.

"Lucy?" Calum waved his hand in my face, trying to bring me back from the daydream.

"Hm?" I said smiling at him.

"The bus is coming let's go!" Calum said pulling me up off the bench.

"Oh yea, right. Thanks Cal." I told him trying to avoid the awkwardness.

"No problem. What's up with you today you seem, I don't know weirder than usual..." Calum said getting in the bus.

"Wow gee thanks for that, no I'm just lost in thought that's it." I gave him a little smile, sitting down next to him.

"Oh okay...so what's todays plan?" He said putting my legs over his.

"Mall, movies, Starbucks, & home." I said smiling at him.

"Sounds great as long as we don't watch any chick flicks, I'm not a chick" he said raising an eyebrow.

"Fine! But you have sleepover because my mum's not coming home tonight." I said squinting my eyes.

"Deal!" He said with a big smile.

He reminds me of an overexcited puppy sometimes. Calum Hood I'm glad you're my best friend. I wish this could last a lifetime.

Thoughts on this chapter? I know it sucked but hey I tried! :) anyways hope you guys liked it! It was kind of weird!
