Mike, of course, invited everyone over for dinner.

In order to do that, we had to go downstairs to cook something. We did hide out in Mike's room until like, three, and then Lucas finished his shift and he said he would come over with a ton of groceries. We left his room, going downstairs and trying to hide my face.

Ted, as always, was sitting in the same la-Z-boy as always, reading the newspaper. Who even reads newspapers anymore? Karen, on the other hand, had been hanging out with Holly in the living room when we came downstairs.

"Mike?" She asked. "I'm thinking about running to the store for some groceries. Do you need anything?"

"No thanks!" He replied, entering the kitchen.

"Is there someone else there?" I heard her stand up.

"Oh, yeah, it's just Max." He explained.

"When did you get here hon?" She asked.

"Early, Ted let me in." I replied.

"Huh." She nodded, holding one of Holly's hands. "Well I was just thinking about din-" She stopped when she saw me. "Oh my gosh."

"Oh it's fine don't worry-" I turned into the kitchen, Mike close on my heels.

"Are you okay? What happened?!" She had shooed Holly away.

"Nothing, I just fell off my skateboard," I muttered.

She frowned. "You know you are always welcome to spend the night if you need. In the basement, or you could share Nancy's room."

"Nothings wrong, I just fell."

She nodded, then turned to Mike. "Dinner?"

"Oh, yeah we invited some friends over." He said. "And Lucas is gonna be here really soon with stuff from the store."

"We're making mac and cheese," I explained. "If that's okay."

She nodded. "Leave some for us, and Nancy. She's studying with Steve."

Mike glanced at me.

"Apparently he got in a fight or something." She scoffed, and walked away.

"Is he okay?" Mike cleared his throat.

"I think so."

"What?" I whispered, walking to the counter. The doorbell rang, so we started walking over.

"I don't know what that means." He added.

"Does that mean he just respawned somewhere? Or did the coins turn back into him-"

"Hi." Lucas waved in the open door, two paper grocery bags in his arms.

"Hi." Mike stepped back, letting him in.

"Apparently Steve just respawned or something," I said, taking a bag. "He's with Nancy."

"Does that mean Chrissy's back too?" Mike muttered.

I shrugged.

"Wait, what?" Lucas asked.

"Uh, Nancy's with Steve, and the Vanilla Milkshakes are coming over for dinner." Mike poked his head in the bags on the counter. "Garlic bread?"

"Okay." Lucas nodded, then pointed to the garlic bread in the bag. "You know, an appetizer."

Mike frowned. "It's mac and cheese, man."

"Fine, don't eat it. I paid for it though." Lucas rolled his eyes.

"Can we cook now?" I asked.

"Yes." Mike grabbed the box of pasta. "And thanks for buying everything."
