Time skip to when their about to leave for Gusu.
TaiFeng sat by the window practising her zither like she did every morning.
She had already packed all her things for Gusu and was currently killing time until they had to leave. Her mind aimlessly wandered as she gently plucked the string creating a simple but joyful tune. Many of the disciples had got used to FeiHong Long' s music.Oh, yeah, that's right. Apparently she had a title now. Crimson Dragon was now what people called her when ever she went to the market to by food or supplies. After her little show at the courtyard people started calling her that.
According to Wuxian even people over in Qinghe know about the 'rare beauty who can summon up a Dragon'.
Oh, if only people knew it was just an illusion. But still ,she had other attributes so it didn't really matter to her. After experimenting with Healer Fu for what feels like an eternity she discovered some very interesting things.
What kind of things, you ask?
Well, you'll find out soon enough.
As she lazily strummed her instrument, a goldfinch landed on the window. When she finished the song, she heard a voice say.
"That was a lovely song, so full of calmness."
Without even thinking she instintivly said "Thank you." That was until she realized it came from the goldfinch.
"Did you just talk?!" She said almost falling of her chair.
"Calm down ,Master Qian. There's no need to be alarmed." The goldfinch playfully said as it inched closer.
"How can I understand you? And why did you call me 'Master'?"
"You possess Tongqing which allows whoever wields it to communicate with animals wether they are earthly creatures or spiritual." The bird said as it gestured to TaiFeng's left wrist.
" You are it's master therefore it is only fit that I call you Master Qian. It was nice meeting you." The bird chuckled as it flew away.
TaiFeng looked down at her wrist in a daze.
"So I guess I'm a Disney princess now... this could be useful." She said as she opened her fan to cover half her face while smirking.
Nie Huaisang really had a big influence on her in the drama.
Timeskip
The boat ride to Gusu was full of lush scenery and breathtaking views.
When they finally arrived, she opted to wear a sedge hat with a veil. Although this one was made from a higher quality and had gold beads hanging down from the edges.
Along with her new robes she looked stunning even if you couldn't see her face. The hat was a gift from Jiang Cheng, not that the angry lotus would ever admit it.
As they walked through the streets of Caiyi town to find an inn, TaiFeng's mind kicked into action. She decided that the best course of action would be to try and and avoid as many confrontations and try and befriend as many people as she could.
She even intended to get Jin Guangyao and Xue Yang onto the side of good. She just hoped that her plan worked and if it didn't, well, there was always Plan B. She thought as she clutched her sword.
They finally found an inn only to find that it was fully booked. She waited outside as she didn't want to get in the way of that whole Yuandao likes MianMian thing as that was essential to forming Lan Zhans and Wei Yings relationship.
'God, I hope my ship sails. No, no, it will sail! This ship can't sink! Not while Xichen and I are the captains. With his weird mind reading abilty and my foresight that oblivious couple has to get together!'
She thought as she took out some breadcrumbs from her qiankun pouch to feed some birds and gather some info.
"Hello little birdies. I was wondering if any of you know a person named Xue Yang? He ussualy wears grey clothing and has a prosthetic pinky finger. Oh, and he likes to eat candy and has a really unnerving stare. It's really creepy." She asked as the birds munched on the food.
"I'm afraid not Master Qian. But I shall let you know if I spot him." One of the pigeons said as it flew off, satisfied with the free meal.
"A'Hong, we managed to secure a room." Yanli smiled. "What were you doing?"
"Oh, just feeding birds." She smiled as she walked in to the in and removed her hat.
As they sat down she opted to play the Song of Tranquillity, just in case Jin Zixuan was still upset.
"A'Hong, you have a lot of information about things, do you know who else is going to be attending?" Wuxian said as he absentmindedly fiddled with his robes.
She finished playing and opened her fan to cover half her face(It was honestly her trademark at this point) and spoke.
"Well, acording to my info, aside from Young Master Jin, Young Master Nie Huaisang us going to be attending along with a few disiples. Don't tell anyone else but " she said leaning in.
" I have a pretty good suspicion that the Wen Sect will make an appearance this year."
"The Wens are coming this year?!" A voice in the hallway rang out.
Jin Zixuan stepped into the room to see what the commotion was about.
"Hey, peacock didn't anyone ever tell you that it's rude to eavesdrop." Wuxian remarked while Jiang Cheng did his trademark angry lotus face.
Good thing Yanli stepped out to by soup ingredients, or this could get ugly.
"The door was open so I wasn't eavesdropping." He defended.
"It's just a hunch of mine, but I have a strong feeling about it." TaiFeng said, interrupting the staring contest that this two had going on.
"Who are you? Your not from the Jiang Sect."
'Or from anywhere in China, either'. Jin Zixuan thought.
"My name's Qian TaiFeng. It's a. pleasure to meet you all." She said as she bowed her head not letting go of her fan.
"All?" All three of them simultaneously asked.
