Running as fast as her legs could carry her, TaiFeng and the others rushed into the cave.
"Wen Chao *huff* cut the ropes." She said, catching her breath.
"That bastard!" Zixuan cursed.
"How are we going to get out of here?!" A Jiang disciple cried.
"I'm sure our parents will come and get us! They'll know what to do!" A Jin disciple said, sounding so hopelessly hopeful.
"Our parents don't even know your here. It's highly unlikely that anyone will rescue us." Xichen said bluntly.
"The only option is to fight our way out." TaiFeng added.
"But how will we get out of here once we defeat that thing?" Huaisang said, crouching down, head hung low.
"Maple leaves." TaiFeng said rummaging through her qiankun pouch and pulling out her sword.
Everyone was confused.
"Oh! There were maple leaves on the surface of the water, but there weren't any trees in the cave." Wei Ying said.
"Meaning that there's probably a hole at the bottom for the leaves to come through." Huaisang added.
"But the main problem is how are we going to get past that thing?" A disciple chimed in.
"I think the best option would be to wait for now and tend to the wounded first." ChenHe said, taking out a small mahogany medicine box out of his qiankun pouch.
"And after that, we can salvage all the arrows and swords that the Wens left behind." YiZhang added.
"A'Liang can use his arrows to distract it, while I dive down and assess the exit point." Gao Song added.
"They grow up so fast." TaiFeng said, wiping away a fake tear before turning serious.
"Let's kill a monster tortoise.... Never thought I would ever say those words in that order."
While ChenHe tended to everyone's wounds, YiZhang and a few Jin disciples went and gathered the leftover arrows and swords that would definatly come in handy.
Huddling in a group with TaiFeng were Jiang Cheng, Xichen, Lan Zhan, Wei Ying and Zixuan.
They were all discussing the best way to defeat it.
"I was thinking about it, and there's no way well able to pierce it's skin from the outside." Wei Ying said, scratching his nose.
"But if I went on the inside maybe I could kill it.""Wei Ying!" TaiFeng and Lan Zhan simultaneously said.
"If anybody's going inside that thing it's going to be me." TaiFeng firmly stated.
"Er-jie, are you kidding me?! Your already hurt!" Jiang Cheng yelled.
"TaiFeng! You can't be serious. Jiang Cheng is right, your injured." Xichen said.
"ChenHe already treated my wounds, and my cultivation isn't so weak that I can't do this." She replied, leaving no room for any argument.
"Xichen-ge, I'll be fine. It's just an overgrown tortoise, how bad could it possibly be?" She shrugged.
Even after inccesent arguing with Xichen and both her brothers, TaiFeng didn't budge on her choice.
"We'll be attacking first thing tomorrow, but right now everyone needs to recuperate." Zixuan said, sitting down.
Looking up at the dank dusty cave, TaiFeng let out a long sigh. She was exhausted, her bones were aching and she could feel the bags under her eyes.
Trying not to let her spirits get dampened, she closed her eyes and thought of the one thing that always seemed to give her the strength to carry on.
