Amid the falling cherry blossom petals, my heart skips a beat after reading what's posted on the bulletin board. My eyes are fixated on it like my eyeballs are glued to that piece of paper.
"Sarada, congratulations!" Chocho's voice echoes in my ears. She rejoices the most and can't help herself from hugging me.
I can't believe it...
I won.
But how?
Kawaki's POV
"So, she went for it, huh?" I stop by the university board when I noticed a new paper pinned on it.
It is a clear sunny afternoon and the students seem to be busy with their studies. It took me a few minutes to stand in front of the board until a group of people approach my direction. I walk a few steps away from the board and hide in the bushes next to it.
"They are aiming for the board," I whisper to myself and see them stop in front of the bulletin board and start to chatter.
"Timothy made a mistake it should not be posted here," the glasses guy uttered in annoyance.
"Maybe there was a misunderstanding between him and the President," the short-haired girl added.
"Anyways, let's remove this before everyone can see it," the glasses guy pulls the paper out from the board and they leave.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I wonder why they pulled it out since it's an announcement. I bet there are already a few who have read it.
Anyways, it's none of my concern. My next class is suspended and the only place to go after class is the house. I want to spend more time with Kiwis. I've been busy with studies lately and we haven't strolled for a while.
The sound of meow echoes inside the house when I got home. I see Kiwi rushing toward me and placing itself in my arms. I let the white fluffy fur caress me and I can't help but smile.
While playing with its white fur, I hear a car stops in front of the house.
"Is it dad?" I mutter to myself.
I check out the window and it appears to be him. He comes home early. But actually, he barely comes home due to his hectic schedule at work.
I wait for him to open the door and see what would be his reaction seeing me in the house.
"Kawaki? You're home early or never left for school?" is that his greeting?
"My class was suspended so I decided to go home and spend the rest of the day with Kiwi," I respond and put Kiwi on the floor, my fur buddy runs to the sofa and makes himself comfortable.
"I see," he walks to the kitchen to get something to drink. He pulled out a bottle and pour glass-full water into his glass.
I watch him as he drinks. I did not move from my place and switched my gaze to the sleepy white-furred creature on the sofa.
"I've heard from the board meeting yesterday that the election of the Student Council is on next week. Did you apply for any position, Kawaki?" he asks while walking toward the sofa where Kiwi is peacefully sleeping.
"I'm not interested in that," my brief reply. I hear him chuckle and he puts the glass on his lips again.
"As expected from you. You should actively participate in some school activities. It can help you make friends and get close to your schoolmates," he knew exactly I don't like socializing with people.
"I'm busy with my studies you know it is my priority," I snort and turn my back on him.
"I can't imagine how time flew so fast. I begged multiple principals in your high school just to defend you from suspension and now you're making studies your priority. You have changed son, and I'm so proud of you,"
