"You are bleeding pretty hard." Embry has said after a few minutes of driving.

Eloise glanced at him, confused, before she felt blood dripping down her hand and onto her pyjama pants.
Her eyes widened before she quickly unzipped her bag and pulled out a pack of tissues, pressing them onto her hand.

"Oh god, I'm sorry. I must have cut myself on the glass." she quickly rambled, trying to see if her blood touched his car in anyway.
Embry quickly caught onto that behaviour, shaking his head and putting a hand onto her shoulder, soothingly.

"Hey don't worry, the car doesn't matter. Are you okay? Your lip is bleeding, too. And I think that bruise is gonna be a nasty one." He said, eyes flicking between the shaken up girl and the road.

"Oh I'm okay, thank you." She said, pressing another piece of tissue to her lip and keeping it there.
Embry took note of how she kept trying to look a ways from him and to stop her own shaking hands from moving too much. She seemed distraught, so he chose to not push the subject any further.

"I'm Embry, by the way. Penelope's cousin, unfortunately." He joked, seeing how Eloise's lips turned into a small smile at the mention of Penelope's name. Embry told himself that she smiled because of his joke.

"Yea, I wondered who she'd sent. She just texted me that she'd sent one of her people, whatever that means." She smiled, and for the first time, she looked Embry in the eye. She was ashamed that he'd seen her and William fight.

Embry huffed out a laugh, "God, she acts like she's fucking James Bond or something." He grinned.

"Yea I guess so." Eloise smiled back.

Embry and Eloise have been driving for around an hour before she recognised the street leading up to Penny's house. She instantly smiled, wiping her under eyes to get rid of the dried tears on her face.

Penelope was stood on the porch, waving excitedly when she caught sight of Embrys car.
Eloise felt her heart bust with excitement, she hadn't seen Penny in over a year.

When Embry came to a stop, he quickly got Eloise's suitcase out of the trunk and carried it up to what would become Eloise's room.

Eloise wanted to thank him, but the second she got out of the car, she was embraced in a tight hug. It was raining but neither Penelope nor Eloise cared about it. It was the most loving touch she's felt since the last time she saw Penny and Eloise instantly started shaking and sobbing quietly. She hid her face in her neck so her sobs would be muffled, and Pen took all her emotional strength to not start sobbing with her.
Pen only released Eloise to caress her face with both hands, looking down to her slightly.

"Shh, it's okay, you're life's going to be amazing from now on I promise." She said, wiping Eloise's tears away.

"No one is gonna touch you ever again, not when I'm with you." She promised and Eloise gripped her hands that were still on her face, trying to memorise how happy she's felt with her. Her feelings were overwhelming, she was so scared but so glad to be finally somewhere safe, and she could not come up with words to show Penny how grateful she was for her. Neither could she show Embry and Pens grandma her appreciation, for doing far more for her than anyones ever done in her entire life.

"I love you Penny, thank you so much." She smiled through her tears, giggling when Penny did.

The girls giggled and laughed at walked into the house together, hand in hand and Eloise took mental note of the minimal changes. There was a photo wall added to the hallway and she could make out several photos of herself. A photo of Penny and herself, with Penny on her back and then another one in the same setting with Eloise on Penny's back. There was also one with Penny's grandma, where she was holding onto Eloise's face and pressed a kiss to her cheek. She remembered how loved she felt, it was the first and the last time Will had let her stay with them for a whole week. He wasn't that bad back then.

Eloise smiled at the pictures and she smiled at how the rest of the house stayed pretty much the same. She walked up the stairs, her hand still in Pens hand as she showed her to her room.

That night, she had the best sleep in years. She had slept through, no nightmares just deep slumber without interruptions. She woke up to Penny's grandma barging into her room, dressed in a nightgown and her loud voice startling her.

"Eloise, my dear, how good to have you here!" she exclaimed, excitement in her voice and a smile on her face.

Eloise smiled at the woman, standing up to embrace her tightly.

"It's good to be back, thank you so much for letting me stay with you." She whispered.

"Oh none sense, this has been your home since we met you, dear. No come on, you should eat something before you leave." She ushered her downstairs, hand on her back and her head resting on Eloise's shoulder.

"Leave where?" Eloise asked, trying not too sound scared but for just a second her mind was telling her that she'd have to go back to William and that her stay here was limited to a night.

"Leave to La Push beach, baby. Told you there ain't no boring days in this house." Penny's voice startled her for a second, tho she could feel her heart beat again when Realisation hit her that this, would be her home for quite a while.

"So stop looking like you saw a ghost and eat up, I don't want to miss the sun, you know we don't get that a lot here." Penny said, taking her out of her grandmas embrace and sitting her down on the table.

Eloise took notice that the round table now hosted three chairs and one of them seemed definitely less used than the other two. It made her smile to think that they bought another for her.

"We're gonna pick up a friend of mine, if that's okay with you."
