Never once in his life had Paul been so furious. He had tried not to wolf out as he stomped over to Williams car, opening his door harshly. He had grabbed the scumbag, who was by now shaking, by his collar and leaned down to be face to face to him.
"You come here one more time, I dare you." Paul had said through gritted teeth, watching the man shake his head furiously, grabbing onto his steering wheel harshly. Paul had quickly searched the car for his phone, catching sight of it in the passengers seat and leaning over to grab it. He held it infront of Williams face so it would unlock and then went to his contacts, deleting Eloise's number. He went to his gallery, deleting Eloise's pictures and finally as he went to delete every chat with her so that he would not be able to find her number, he stumbled upon an app. He opened it and was instantly met with Eloise's location. Somehow, that bastard hadmanaged to track Eloise's phone this whole time.
Paul laughed bitterly and just as he was about to smash it and throw it at his face and punch him so hard he'd wish he were dead, his mind drifted to Eloise. He glanced up to her window and saw her figure quickly disappearing behind the curtains. Normally, he'd smile at the picture, her watching him and hiding away when he caught her. But right now, he was concentrating on not killing the man infront of him. He looked back at William, clenching his jaw.
"You are never going to look for her and you're not going to contact her ever again. Do you understand?" William nodded, quickly scrambling to put on his seatbelt as soon as Paul lost his grip on him. Paul angrily threw the phone at him and shut his door harshly. He kind of hoped that his fingers would get caught in the door, but faith did not want to give him that satisfaction.
He watched William drive off until he couldn't see him anymore, locked his car and then sped up towards Eloise's front door. As soon as he knocked, she had opened the door, and to his very surprise, threw herself at him and hugged him. Paul had never been held so tight before and he had never felt so loved and cherished like he did right now. He softly held onto the back of her head with one hand and held onto her back with the other.
"Shh, it's okay, he won't find you anymore, you can stay with me." He told her and took in a breath, snuggling his nose into her hair and taking in her smell. Somehow, it made him instantly calmer and his heart rate slowed to a normal speed again. He felt her holding her breath to refrain from crying and softly parted from her, taking her face into his hands and softly putting away the strands of hair that hid her beautiful face from him. "Hey, El, its okay. Do you want to stay with me for a while? Just until everythings over and I'll be able to protect you here?" He asked her, smiling at her small nod. She smiled back softly when he took her cold hand in his warm one. Eloise wanted to snuggle back into his warm body, but refrained herself to do so.
Eloise watched as Paul sat on the edge of her bed, typing away on his phone and furrowing his eyebrows at a message he got. He told Eloise he'd tell Penny what happened so she wouldn't worry when she got home and she was gone. Eloise prayed Penny wouldn't embarass her and send Paul a funny text. "What the hell does slay mean?" He asked Eloise, who was still running through her room thinking about possible sex-related jokes Penny could say and collecting her things. Eloise laughed softly and Paul's heart skipped at the sound. "Well, what's the context and who said that to you." Eloise asked, still giggling at Paul's perplexed face. "Texted Pen what happened and that you'd stay with me for a while and she texted back Slay." He read for Eloise and her face burned a little at the thought of him protecting her. If he wasn't there she'd already have buried her face into her pillow and screamed. But having him there, sitting on her bed that looked so small under his body, was better than any screaming she could ever do. "In that case she thinks you're doing well." She answered and Paul flashed her a smile when their eyes met.
"Do you think I'm doing well?" He asked and Eloise was taken aback by his question. "What do you mean?" She asked, sitting down next to him when he scooted over to make some space for her. He looked into her eyes and gulped when he realised how close she suddenly was. "I mean, are you comfortable around me?" He asked and Eloise nodded softly, mentally noting how pretty his eyes looked. "I am, uhm, I'm not uncomfortable around you at all, I just-" She started but it suddenly felt hard talking when he looked at her like that. Like she created the world. Eloise never had trouble thinking in any kind of situation, wether she was in danger or anxious or happy. For the first time her heart beat too loud for her to think clearly.
"I think I'm just nervous around you sometimes- a good nervous." She smiled, somehow cringing at her words. She thought she sounded so stupid and childish. Paul tilted his head to the side confused and she thought that if he didn't already think she was dumb for saying such sappy shit, he definitely did when she blurtet out, "It's cause you're pretty."
But to her surprise, he just smiled, all teeth and blushed, looking away. God, the pack would torture him if they found out Eloise got him blushing. Paul was a lot quicker at getting his composture back than her, smirking at an embarassed Eloise and telling her, "You're way prettier. Prettiest thing I've ever seen."
