After all that was settled, the next game was going to be chosen. Bumpus gave the main game wheel another spin. That wheel landed on Bop-it Extreme.
"Rhythm games! My favorite!" Said Ballyhoo. It seems his ankle has recovered quite fast!
"Ladies and gentlemen, the second game is Bop-It Extreme!" Said Bumpus. "Why extreme you ask?"
The Cartoon Heroes and I thought for a moment.
"Is it because you think regular Bop-It is mediocre?" Lazlo asked.
Tooey just shrugged at Lazlo.
"The rules are simple!" Bumpus called out. "Respond to each command in time to the rythym. Be warned: you only have a matter of time."
The three Weebles guided us to the Bop-It game unit.
"Unlike your averege Bop-It Extreme that easily fits snug as a bug in your hands, the one you are about to play, is TRIPLED in terms of size!"
"There isn't a need to panic." Tooey said. "The entire thing is rotated fourty-five degrees, so all units are easily accessible."
"Refresher?" Said a voice that scared the crap out of Lemmy.
"WHO SAID THAT?" Lemmy shouted.
"No, no! No need to be afraid. I'm the commander of it all." Said the commander. "Who's in?"
Lemmy, Komodo, Ballyhoo and Lazlo raised their hands. Each of them took a knob (...or wheel).
"This one is going to be solo. Boys, this is going to take some teamwork." I informed. "Don't give up!"
"I should've let them try and beat my cousin Xander's record at this." said Quigley.
"What is it?"
"Around 82...ish. Dakota Yoshi holds the multiverse record. He hung a replica of his Bop-It on a glass case plaque thing."
"What a way to show off a miracle."
"Aren't you forgetting somebody to press the main game unit?" Tooey asked.
Professor Quigley and I nodded our heads. We decided to take over.
"Ready? Round one!" Said the commander. "Bop it!"
At the right timing, we struck our hands upon every unit. Until the commander shouted.
"Lazlo, there is tape on that wheel." Quigley informed. Lazlo took the tape off of the "Spin-It" unit.
"Well, that was unexpected." Said the commander. "Round Two! Spin it! Twist it! Pull it!"
"Do you know what's proving? The way these folks are moving." Bumpus giggled, watching me and my Cartoon Heroes going for a high score. "You two might not know that I met the Bop-It world record holder. The Professor invited us to test out his crazy wind tunnel that went up to like...about 115 miles an hour. That Dakota Yoshi...he's a collector and a champion himslef."
"He needs to invite you to his home someday. I just don't know where he dwells." sighed Tooey. "It's just the two of us, the seven of them, and my affectionate Tibby calculating the scores."
Tibby looked at Bumpus and Tooey with a smile, clicking on a stainless steel counter. "Please don't ask me where I found this thing." said she.
When Quigley got slightly drowsy and almost fell off the unit when responding to a command, I caught him immedately. I heard the same command go off again, and responded.
The bebob streak, as well as the rythym, kept flowing through us over time. Then out of nowhere, the commander lets out...quite a shrill scream. For some reason, Bumpus definately felt his hair, ears, and cape snap back suddenly.
"MY FLICK IT!!!! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Cried the commander.
The three Weebles were shocked and confused at what just happened.
Tibby grabbed the mic out of Bumpus's hand, as he remained confused at what happened. "Ladies and Gents, it appears the rainbow-maned pumpkin seed went a little too hard on the Bop-It." she stated. "He's small, but mighty."
"I HEARD THAT!" Lemmy shouted.
"Um...." The commander mumbled. "High score...73! And YOU need to go more easy!"
"He's talkin' to ya, Lemmy!" Said Ballyhoo.
Lemmy shrugged in response.
