"Sooo..how old are you?", Maxine wondered while looking through the stack of clothes in front of her, her eyes sparkling.
Oh, how much she missed wearing normal clothes.

The two of them went to a big shopping mall which she remembered. There werent any employees in sight, so they took what they could find.

"I'm 20..", Finley mumbled back to her as an answer and sat on one of the small chairs. "What about ya?"

The brown haired girl smiled after putting on a flannel shirt, watching herself in the mirror before noticing some bracelets on the wall in front of her.
"How cute, i'm older than you! Oh, these would look fire on you."

She stretched her arm to grab a small one with brown and white pearls and held it towards Finley.

The freckled boy eyed it hesitant before placing it around his wrist.

"It's pretty, thanks..", he smiled at her with a slight blush. She was so nice towards him.

"You know what? We should definietly drown ourselves in alc tonight. You up?", Maxine grinned at him through the mirror with some sunglasses.

"A Bottle-O, you say? Sure!"

"I hope you're buying me drinks, like a true gentleman.", she teased with a straight face before shouldering a bag, dissapearing behind a wall.

Shortly after, Finley rushed after her with the hat, leaving the mall with the girl.

"But seriously, what's a Bottle-O?", she asked while pulling the sunglasses down a bit.
Her confused face made the younger snicker.

"I'm an Aussie. That's what we call an alcohol shop, ya know?", he explained simply, earning a nod.

"I see..tho, i know a better place to go!"

After a few hundred metres of walking they suddenly noticed a small figure kneeling on the ground, another one sitting beside her. Maxine glanced over to Finley, waiting for some kind of reaction in his facial expression. When their eyes met, he simply nodded.

Those were the first people they saw since they arrived here.

Usually, the platinum guy was what you would call a "social butterfly". No matter who he met, what time, or where. He was able to talk to everyone.

Some people wouldnt call it a good feature. His sharpened face, with still soft skin, cheeks covered with natural freckles which he got from his mom.
Gleamy eyes, in addition to his even teeth and curved lips.
It gave him the perfect innocent appearance.

But after all this time inside those white walls, even the softest soul breaks apart.

It wasn't easy for him to warm up to people so quickly again.

"G'day, you alright over there?"

The silhouette's attention got pulled towards them. "Who are you?", a calming voice questioned in suspence, almost looking at them anxious.

Their glance went to the other girl laying on the cold ground, her chest exhaling sharply. Hesitantly, Maxine stepped closer to the two.

"Damn, what happened to her?"

None of them answered the question. The only noise they heard was the sudden thunder from above, echoing through the city.

"Wanna come with us?", Finley beside them asked as soon as the first rain drops hit the ground. "Cmon.."
