The noises of shoes scrapping along the pavement filled Hailey's ears. She'd focused on anything other than the voices of people and that was the best bet.

Part of her just wanted to sort everything out, make everything normal, believe the lies. But she knew that she'd just be digging her hole deeper and that was already happening quickly on auto-pilot.

People betray you and that's that. Let them in again and chances are they will use it to their advantage. She had to learn that the hard way.

And the more she thought about the incident, the less sense it made. Hailey had managed to brush that off. For all she knew it could've been a lie.

The corridors were filled with teens gossiping or getting ready. She tried to block out as much as possible as she wandered to her locker.

Her brother and friend told her they'd meet her in registration, but she didn't really may attention to anything they said after that.

Hailey was doing good at blocking out her thoughts. Who knows? Maybe she'd even get through the day without any issues.

Well that was until she saw one of the many people she was dreading seeing that day. And by one of the many, this particular person was pretty damn close to the top.

"Heh Hailey I—" Her whole world basically paused for a moment. She didn't want to say anything. This couldn't be happening.

Without thinking she gripped the final book she needed into her hand, and headed to registration. She hadn't of wanted to do that. Deep down, she would've gladly had a conversation explaining the situation and everything. But part of her knew about their past and what would've happened if she had replied to Jake.

When Hailey got into the room, she took her seat and tried to calm herself. Luckily, the people in your registration were chosen of friends, so she'd ended up with Luke and Zander in hers and most of her bullies in others.

Sadly, she may of got away from most, but not all. Unfortunately, due to the previous friendship with one of the two girls, Hailey got stuck in registration with Zoey and Lia.

Luckily for her though, the two weren't here. Probably purposely running late or gossiping around the corridors. Maybe both.

Hailey took a seat next to her brother, who had just went from a rant session to a flustered mess. All the teal haired girl could thing to herself in that moment was that she was siblings with a simp.

She took another deep breath and began to rest her thoughts. Nothing could happen. Today would be like the those with the club.

Those days were it was only the club. Those days were she got picked on by groups of people. Those days were she didn't have much self confidence and had to put on an act to pretend she could defend herself without part of her mind just breaking down of her.

Those days she didn't want to return too.

Jake watched as Hailey made her way off into the more distant parts of the hallways infront of him.

When he had first saw her, he thought he could just forget the letters and explain to her in person, but clearly that wouldn't be the case this time around.

So, the peach haired boy just slid the folded piece of paper through one of the gaps in her locker and headed to his own registration class.

He was greeted by a mostly empty classroom, filled with only two or three other people; non of which he had really bonded with as all.

Jake checked a couple of his socials. He didn't have anything else to do and it was going to be a while until something was said about the note.

Looking at a few of his media accounts, he was disappointed to find he had been blocked by all the club's socials that he knew off. Part of him felt a bit sad while the other half was just pissed at himself for allowing to be manipulated that easily.

Overall, this was clearly not going to be a good day today if this was proof enough.

The blonde boy sighed as he put his phone back in the pocket of his favourite blue jacket. It took a couple of minutes until the bell finally went and everyone who wasn't there, arrived.

That included a certain magenta haired boy and his friends since middle school, people that, if Jake was being honest, he'd rather not see.

"Hey Jake." Drew greeted the boy with while taking a seat next to him. Quite honestly, Jake didn't really want to talk to him, but he didn't want to make it into a big deal.

"h-hey." The blonde haired boy responded. "So, why didn't you meet us earlier?" Jake didn't reply immediately.

It had became clear to the boy that Drew was acting like the whole video thing had never happened.

Now he couldn't prove it was the magenta haired male but the whole thing did take place in his room. He would know about the video. He probably would know who sent it.

But it would make sense if he didn't know whether he succeeded or not. Drew and the music club had never been on the best terms. It not like one of them would turn to him for any sort of comfort.

"I had some errands to run." He realised Drew would most likely ask him what errands and he didn't want to explain to him about Hailey, especially if it was his plan gone successful.

"—For my mom." He added quickly, his heart skipping a beat as he calmed himself. "Okay then." He took a breath of relief as he realised his friend had most likely believed his lies.

The magenta haired boy rolled his eyes as the two sat in silence and made small talk for the remaining time spent in registration.

But, even the minor small talk made Jake believe more and more that Drew was at least a little bit responsible for the video.

Part of him just wanted to get up and sit someone else. Sadly, these were assigned spots and only one seat wasn't taken and if he moved there it's probably be a bit awkward anyway.

The constant words of gossip filled Hailey's ears from left to right. So when the bell went to signal that she'd finally get a break from it — even if it was only for another 5 minutes during changeover.

The teal haired girl made her way over to her locker. It was in a row of about a dozen or so.

But when she opened the door a piece of paper fly down from the gaps near the top and to her feet.

Hailey picked it up, not sure of the contents inside it.

But that's when she read it and realised what it was.

And that she couldn't hold back her instincts of finding out the truth..
