Leaving for Duskwood

The dinner with Frank turned well. We watched fireworks by the sea while having dinner. We talked a lot about random stuff and for the first time I laughed again. Since Hannah was found all I did was to think about Jake, every move I make is for Jake. He became the center of my galaxy, the sun where my world revolves around and without him, darkness will surround me. Just as how earth depends on the sun, my life and soul depends on Jake.
That's how much I love him.

"you aren't listening Koala" Frank said as he snapped his fingers in front of me.
I was speechless.  I didn't realized that I my thoughts are drifted again to Jake.
"Ouch" I cried as he pinched my nose and pulled it sideways. Ugh! This guy I can't believe he is still doing this.
He just laughed hard and said with devilish grin "Serves you right"
I gave him the "what the fuck look''
But him being Frank who knows me so well didn't even cared.
"So tell me Koala, who is this guy that is screwing you? He is the reason of your departure right?" He asked seriously. How the heck did he know?! I didn't even mentioned a thing or two. 
"Well Koala, I'm your best friend and you know I love you, I know there's something wrong. For your information love, you kept mumbling a name from time to time as your mind drift away from Milkway".
Wait...did I?? I looked him with astonishment.
"Tell me Koala, what's going on? I know you're not okay. Don't carry it by yourself. I'm always here" he continued as he pulled me into his arms. As if its a cue, I bursted in tears and cried my eye out.
I cried for a long time and he patiently waited for me to calm down. Then I started telling him some about Jake and how I'm madly in love with him.
"I can't believe you fell for someone else who you don't even know the surname. Koala, you are insane" his remarks as he pulled his car.
"Aren't we just the same?" i replied back which he wasn't able to refute.
He opened the car's door and helped me hop out. "Yeah. We're both insane. Koala, no matter what I will always support you. Even if this love is unrequinted, your happiness is my happiness. That's all that matters to me. And if that Jake dumped you, you know where to run" he sincerly said as he pulled me into embrace. ''Call me when things get nasty in Duskwood okay? I will come running to your side. Even it means leaving my job for you" Frank said softly as he tucked the strands of my hair to my ears.
''Thank you Frank. You don't deserve me, please don't be hard on yourself, you are a great guy, a boyfriend material " I replied.
He smiled. "so that means I have a chance" he added as he wiggle his brows playfully.

"if only I can teach my heart to love you, I will. But I can't....Jake holds my heart and---"

He placed his fingers to my lips to shut me up.
"Enough. I already told you, just being your bestfriend will be enough for me. I wouldn't ask for more Koala. Keep me updated okay? Promise me"

I smiled. "I promise Frank. I will keep you updated"

With that I hugged my bestfriend tight and said good night.

The next day ...

I got the mail that my visa has been approved and I jumped in delight.
I'll be able to meet my friends and Jake!

Just the thought of meeting him makes my heart pound like crazy.

I sent my friends the details of my flight and started packing up my things.
After finishing up, I sent a resignation letter to our company and mailed my boss about my plan of studying in Duskwood.
Although I haven't told my friends about that yet.

*14 Hours after*

I walked around my house for the last time like saying goodbye.
This is the house where I grew up, This place is full of my childhood memories.
The attic where Frank and I used to play and hang out.
The garden where my tree house is at. Its where I used to lay down to watch the stars at night.
The swing where Frank and I played when we were kids.
I can still remember how I fell from it when he pushed the swing hard.
The memories of my parents.
The last place I went to is where I placed their ashes.
"Mom, Dad, I'm moving for a while. Please look after me and the house. I'm going to find Jake. You know him right? I'll come back here and introduce him to you. Please give me your blessings and guidance. I love you and I miss you both"
After saying my goodbye, I walked towards the door and glanced to my house for the last time.

Duskwood, here I come.
