Leo's P.O.V.
The night, with my lover, continued as the two of us curled up on our bed, scrolling through the laptop like we did most nights. It was more so me as Aley lay tucked away into my side. He was playing with the edge of my shirt humming softly to himself with closed eyes. I, on the other hand, was currently looking at a few places but none that were pleasing to think of us living in. Nothing I could see a future in, I couldn't picture us coming home to this after getting married or bringing a child home to raise. It wasn't what I wanted, it was nothing I knew either of us wanted. Aley and I wanted to stay here, maybe we should fight my family head on if that were the case. I mean we did somewhat give up after not finding someone to help investigate my family further, but what if we got a lawyer instead and just pushed this head on. That way we had help and hopefully the support we needed to keep us in the town we loved. I mean hell, I think I have enough evidence of my own to hold against them. Maybe this could work.
"I want to fight them," I whispered, reaching down to play with my soulmate's dark hair, his steel blue eyes fluttering open lazily to stare up at me. "I think I have enough against them to put them away. The only problem is keeping you safe until that all happens."
"I have faith in you and my family." He mumbled through a yawn.
I smiled down at him. "Go back to sleep."
"I wasn't sleeping."
"Then go to sleep, baby." I leaned down, kissing his forehead before leaning down fully to place my lips against his own.
"Not sleepy." He mumbled against my lips as a soft yawn caught him off guard.
"Sure, you're not." I chuckled under my breath. "That yawn of yours tells me otherwise, maybe you need to tell it to stop lying on your behalf if you aren't sleepy."
He swatted at me limply as he snuggled further into my side, his voice carrying through a yawn. "Shut up, I love you."
I grinned down at him, using a quick motion to zip my lips shut and throw away the key. I knew he was expecting an 'I love you, too' but how was I to give one if he told me to shut up. Another swat to my chest as he threw his head back groaning.
"Asshole." He mumbled. "Tell me you love me, too."
I shook my head pointing to my lips.
Aley glared up at me, another groan leaving his lips as he pushed himself up into a sitting position before he pushed the laptop aside to straddle me. My hands shot out to rest against his waist as he leaned down to rest his forehead against my chest. "You're so difficult."
A chuckle on my part but no words.
"Okay, don't shut up, I miss you too much." He nearly yelled at me through a fit of giggles as he pushed against my chest to look me in the eyes.
"Love you, too." I grinned at him before pushing him off me, our bodies rolling together in a tangled mess. Somehow the two of us kicked the laptop to the flood but neither of us cared as I hovered over his body. I waited a moment and then another dragging out the suspense before attacking my lover in quick kisses, my hands finding his sides to tickle him in the process. A sweet moment like this only lasted so long before violence ensued, Aley's feet kicking out as he screamed and giggled.
"Stop." He yelled through laughter. "Stop!"
The tickling continued until he accidentally kneed my side, making me groan.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." He panicked as he looked over, my hands still against his body.
"So violent." I groaned.
