Hopper organized a search for Will that night, Allison was trailing Hopper when one of Will's teachers started talking to him.

"Sara, my daughter, galaxies, the universe, whatnot. She always understood that stuff." Her heart sank, she missed her sister, more than anything.

"Your daughter, what grade is she? Maybe I'll get her in my class." Oh God.

"No she uhh..." Hopper started but Allison took over.

"She lives with our mom, in the city." Allison spoke from behind them, they paused briefly so she could catch up in pace with them.

"This is my eldest daughter, Allison."

"Oh, I remember her. Still top of your class?" Al chuckled.

"Working on it."

"Thanks for coming out, Teach. We really appreciate it." Hopper walked forward away from Mr. Clarke and a woman approached him after he got out of earshot.

"She died. His youngest, she died a few years back." Allison whipped around.

"Leave my baby sister out of this or I swear to God." No one could talk about her sister, no one.

Hop forced her to go to school the next day.

No one talked to her for almost the entire day. Only Barb talked to her in 2nd hour and Robin in 4th, she even skipped D&D that day, Eddie understood though, he always did.

Barb invited her to this stupid party Steve was throwing, she almost threw up in her mouth when she said his name.

"You're insane Barb, literally insane." She crossed her arms over the brown sweater she wore, kicking her legs onto the desk, showing off her jeans with doodles covering them.

"Please Allison, please. You can't leave me alone with Tommy and Carol. They are major douchebags."

"True. But so is Steve Harrington."

"Have you even talked to him since like the 6th grade?"

Shit. I haven't.

They went to the same daycare in Hawkins where they met, becoming fast friends until they were 4. One day they up and left, she never got to say goodbye. It wasn't until 6 years later they saw each other again. Steve and his friends pushed her into a locker and called her names.

Freak.

Freak.

Freak.

They hadn't spoken since. Sometimes Tommy would shove her but Steve never did anything, never said a word, never even looked at her. She tried to push past it but she never could, the entire time they lived in New York Allison compared everyone she encountered to him, how no one there was like him. She really did miss him.

"Alice, Alice? Earth to Allison." Snapping out of the small trance she was in she saw Barb moving her hand in front of her face repeatedly.

"Yeah, yeah sorry. No, no I haven't talked to Steve." She looked away down the hallway not wanting Barb to see the pain lingering in her eyes. Barb grabbed her arm.

"Maybe you two can be close again? Work things out." She took a breath, not knowing if she could even look at Steve and not feel every emotion at once ever again. Ever since Tommy and Steve called her that name, it's all anyone called her. People who didn't even know her called her that. She couldn't even say it without the venom from it burning her throat. It wasn't all bad though, it was because she was a freak that she met the D&D club, Hellfire. Eddie, the dm, welcomed her with open arms. She was safe there.
