Nora

My favourite time of year was finally rolling around, Halloween. When I was a little girl, I used to dread it. It meant scary things were just around the corner at all times. Now that I've gotten older, I've learned how to appreciate it.

All of the fall colours were exactly my cup of tea, the trees changing colours, and stealing jumpers from her guy friends. Ah, what I would do for Ron or Harry's jumper right now.

Since school has been in for a few weeks, I've gotten into a bit of a routine. I wake up actually on time because I like being down for breakfast before everyone else. I prefer this because I've gotten back on my sleeping pills, which leave me feeling very cranky in the mornings & I need at least 20 minutes with the cool autumn air to return to reality. The nightmares are getting worse since talk of You Know Who is more and more prominent in our daily lives. I can tell that the group is not talking about it, but it's clearly on everyone's mind.

I rose out of bed and put on my robes, to perform her ritual. Normally not many people are up right at 7:00 am since breakfast isn't served until 7:30. So this gives me some quiet for at least half an hour.

As I walked out of the Ravenclaw dormitory, she headed up to the Astronomy Tower, it's where I like to spend my time to make sure I'm not going to rip anyone's face off.

I made it to my same spot, but there was someone else there. Someone with very bright blonde hair.

"Malfoy?"

Draco turned his head in disgust when he heard the all-but-too-familiar voice,

"Leave, you blood traitor. Shouldn't you run off with your friends for breakfast?"

"Not that I need to explain myself to you, but I come up here every morning for some peace and quiet. I need the air to wake me up as well."

"Are you that much of a bitch in the morning?"

"In the mornings, yes, yes I am. And you are not making this any better for that bitchy attitude you mentioned."

"Are you on your period or something?"

"Fuck off you dick."

And with that, I headed to breakfast & waited at the doors for fifteen minutes, hoping that I could hold it together this morning because Malfoy ruined my sacred routine. Cunt.

My day was immediately better when Hermione and Harry showed up.

"Nora, you're starting to look like Ron. Go on get up, doors should be open in a few minutes. What are you even doing down here this early right now?" Hermione seemed genuinely concerned.

I had taken Hermione up on her offer to go to the hospital wing with me to grab some medication.

"I ran into our bestie, Harry."

"Our bestie? Who- Oh. Malfoy."

"Yep."

"What did he say now?"
