Nora

I've slept in, wonderful. First day of classes & I'm going to be late for breakfast. Why hadn't Riley woken me up? I sat up & looked around, ok... Sarah and Aspen were still sleeping. I'm not too late.

I slipped on her robes & went down to the Great Hall for breakfast. As I made it down, I strolled over to the Gryffindor table & saw Ron shoving some eggs down his throat.

"Morning sunshine," Harry laughs

I rolled my eyes, "I didn't have time to brush my hair, plus Miss Riley over here forgot to wake me up!" I send a mean face her way.

Riley snorts, "Sorry, sorry. I thought you were awake. You were talking in your sleep again I suppose."

I had an awful habit of sleep-talking. It was really bad in third & fourth year, but it went away over the summer. It was usually when I had nightmares, and with everything going on about You Know Who being back, Cedric's death, and just school in general I assumed it was from the stress of it all. The night terrors & talking got so bad I had to take some pills to knock myself out completely.

"You're sleep-talking again?" Hermione was always the one most concerned about my sleep-talking habits, Riley told her that it was because 'Mione always knew when I was under more stress than I was leading on.

"I guess so, I don't quite remember. I know I had a nightmare last night about everything going on right now, so it must be in correlation with that."

Hermione nodded, "Nora if you need to talk to Madam Pomfrey again about some medicine again, I can come with you."

Harry looked immediately concerned. Shit. Hermione and Riley were the only ones who knew how bad it had gotten.

"Nora? You had to take medicine? Why didn't you tell me?" I shrugged, and poured some syrup on the pancakes,

"Can we not talk about me and my stupid sleep habits? It's the first day of fifth year! Who's excited to meet our new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher? I know I am, oh if only I had a pink bow to put in my hair. I could have been a favourite! I'll bet Lavender is going to be wearing one to suck up to her..."

"And you would think she would want a purple bow... you know... her name and all..." Riley smirked,

And with that, the group was back in rhythm just like it should be.

Defence Against the Dark Arts, along with Potions were the only classes that we had all together, and they also just happened to be my least favourite.

After many hours of classes & Snape making fun of Harry, Defence Against the Dark Arts rolled around, "God. I'm nervous to meet the new Professor. Aren't you?" I am freaking out a little bit.

"Not really, Dumbledore wouldn't hire someone that he didn't trust or like. I put my faith in him." Riley had always been a suck-up to teachers, so meeting them for the first time was always a piece of cake for her.

And with that, our new professor walked into the room.

"Good morning, children." The woman continuously dressed in all pink. I feel like she has committed a crime against fashion. The fairy godmother lookalike continued,
