Nora
When I woke up this morning to snow, I knew it was going to be a good day. Throwing on my Ravenclaw knitted jumper I found in the lost and found (some may say that's gross, I say it's economically savvy!), I soaked in the cold fresh air before breakfast. Crisp winter air greeted me as she walked outside. With gloves and a hat with the Ravenclaw symbols on them, I felt at peace for the first time since she started her fifth year at Hogwarts.

For breakfast, I had warm tea, toast, eggs and sausage. The main thing Ron and I have in common is my love for food. It just comforts me in a way no man ever could.

"Nora, you look quite content this morning" Hermione hummed,

"I am. Waking up to snow has been a great surprise!"

Ron joined the table, "Bloody hell, couldn't agree less!"

Hermione rolls her eyes as Ron ruins the mood.

"Anyways, we need to figure out this whole Umbridge thing," Hermione says.

Ummmmm, what Umbridge thing? I'm for sure missing a key piece of information. "What do you mean 'this whole Umbridge thing', what are you guys planning?"

"Well, Ron, Harry and I were talking last night. Sirius was talking to us last night, and he thinks it is important for us to be learning how to fight what's out there."

"What exactly are you saying?"

"We've decided that we are going to start a group of us and our friends. We'll meet up, and Harry will help us learn how to defend ourselves. You and Riley can be as involved as you like, as I'm sure you know that this can get us expelled, or possibly worse. It's ok if you-"

Riley interrupts her, "No, we're in. Right, Nora?"

"Oh yeah, for sure. I would rather be expelled but have learned how to defend myself as opposed to sitting around helpless. Hey, I think that my brothers would be interested. And I bet that Finn could help teach us because he's in his seventh year. Oliver probably could too, I know he's only a year older but any help we can get will be good, right?"

Hermione smiled, "Right."

We then had to go their separate ways for the day. However, my good mood quickly turned sour when I heard a voice I knew, all too well.

"Ah, Enstone. Long time no see. How's my favourite girl been?" Malfoy had a funny way of taunting me like we were friends. It always unsettled me.

However, I decided to take the high road for the first time, and just walk away. Based on the facial expression he made as I walked away, I can tell it agitated him.

"My mother and I were talking the other day, turns out your mom and my mom knew each other. Turns out, your mom was a real whore! Slept with five men in three months!"

I turned to Draco, wanting to defend my mother's honour, but my older brother Oliver beat me to it, with a punch to the face, Draco was on the ground.

"Jesus Christ Oliver!" I ran to Draco,

"Malfoy, are you ok?" This was the first time Draco ever saw a glimmer of kindness in my eyes regarding him,

"No! No, I am not! My father will hear about this!" Draco whined

Oliver rolled his eyes, "Please, you're fine. Nora, let's go."

Oliver took me by the arm and rushed her away from Draco. We walked to the entrance outside.

"Nora, what are you doing talking to him? I thought we established that you were not to talk to him anymore! He's no good! All he does is shit on our mother and he causes you such anxiety! Why do you do this to yourself?"

"Firstly, you are not in charge of who I talk to. I am allowed to talk to whomever I want. Also, if you were there for the whole exchange, I didn't say a word to him! I was going to walk away."

"Ok, I'm sorry. I just worry about you. I know I shouldn't, 'cause look at you. You're old now. It's freaking me out."

"It's fine. I know you worry. On a completely other note, Harry and all of us are going to form a group."

"A group?"

"A group of all of our friends to learn how to use defensive spells since Umbridge isn't teaching us anything. Would you want to be part of it? I'm going to ask Finn later today. We're all going to meet in Hogsmeade, next week."

"Yeah, sure, I'll be part of it. Let me know when and where we'll meet. I'll be there."

I shook my head in agreement and walked away.

--

After a long week of classes, it was finally time for the meeting with Dumbledore's Army.

"Well, we're very happy you've all decided to show up," Hermione said, turning to me to continue the introduction.

"Yes. I believe that we are all in grave danger. I'm sure you all know why. So we need a teacher to help us who has experience against the dark arts."

Someone from the audience piped in,

"Why?"

Ron shot back instantly,

"Why? 'Cause You Know Who is back you toss pot."

The boy in the audience rolled his eyes and continued,

"Where's the proof of this? Hm?"

Harry stepped up,

"I'm not going to talk about Cedric, so if that's why you're here you may as well clear out now."

I then noticed Luna looking like she wanted to say something,

"Luna, was there something you wanted to add?"

"Why, yes there was. Harry, is it true you can produce the Patronus charm?"

Hermione answered for him,

"Yes, it is true. I've seen it."

The room erupted in conversations,

Harry interrupted,

"Look, it all sounds great when you say it like that. But when I was doing it I had help. Guys, this is serious stuff. It's not like school where if you make a mistake you can just try later. When you're a second away from death, or watching a friend die right in front of your eyes. Nothing can prepare you for it. But, I want to try and help. Because You Know Who is back."

I looked into the crowd,

"Lord Voldemort is back. Now, you can choose to sit back and pretend it's not true. Or, you can join us. Learn how to fight, and be prepared for what is out there, and what's to come. We need your help. We're prepared for long hours, and we hope you are too. If you want to join us, sign your name on this paper."

At the end of the meeting on a paper that read "Dumbledore's Army" we had the entire page filled. People were anxious to start. There were conversations about where we should meet to practice, and when they should meet up. With the looming feeling of anxiety that it seemed everyone in that room was feeling, it was nice that everyone was feeling inspired again.

"Harry!" I squealed, "We did it! Well, you did it!" I jumped up and hugged him.

Harry reciprocated the hug, "Yeah, yeah, thank you guys though. You, Nora, were the ones to sell it. Thank you." We smiled and hugged again. I love this stupid guy.
