Neptune walks around the town of Mantle. Where he sees the conditions of the city gets worse every minute while there was luxury in Atlas. He hides in a cloak to never be spotted for trespassing. Now that Jacques Schnee knows he was trying to help Weiss escape from the Manor.
He then spotted some rough-looking guys who are glaring back at him. Neptune tried his best to remain hidden in sight. As he was sure those people are mercenaries after him.

13-year-old Neptune was sparring with his older brother, Jupiter as he rolled back and took a stance. And swings his spear at Jupiter. But Jupiter makes a tough defense as he spun back his spear. They were at the beach in Argus.
Neptune then makes stab positions while also avoiding impaling him. "You're gonna have to do better than that, bro!" Jupiter laughed.
"This is a sparring match, not a battle ground!" Neptune replied. Missing his body parts while making a few swipes. Jupiter then charges back at his little brother.

"Neptune, earlier, about your match with NDGO. I don't believe we should see each other anymore." Weiss said, after seeing him flirt with other girls in a match against NDGO.
"W-what?!" Neptune stumbles upon walking back, only to trip on a bump on the sidewalk. Weiss helps him up. "W-Weiss. What are you taking about? I-I... You saw me in the match, didn't you?"
"Yes. I understand if you're never interested in me. I hope you'll find someone who is not an ice queen." Weiss then begins to walk away, regretfully.
"Wait, a minute, Snow Angel. Let's just talk. I'm sorry you had to see this anyway. And I thought you will think of me as a jerk, I felt like I was nothing to you."
"Nothing to me?" Weiss is shocked to hear such words of revelation. Neptune then sighs as he wants to let it out for the first time. "I don't think I will be the you wanted and deserve."
"Neptune, how come you kept doubting yourself like that? From my perspective, you are unlike any man in Atlas. What makes you degrade yourself like this?" Neptune then decided to reveal some details.

Back in the memory of the sparring match, Neptune then leaps above his brother as he swings down his spear, Jupiter holds it sideways to block.
"My older brother is better in every way than I was. Where I am from, we fight to survive. From his perspective, fight the good fight and it was good fortune. I looked up to him as he was stronger than I am."
Jupiter finished the match by breaking Neptune's spear in half and knocks him to the ground. Jupiter then points his spear at Neptune. "That was awesome, Jupiter." He smiled.
"Don't act like you're impressed. Just admit that you're jealous. You're too soft. Next time, you better man up, cause in the end, the world can kill you." Jupiter sighs, leaving his little brother dumbfounded and sad.
"That's what he would say to me. Being afraid of the water, he would try to hard to help me overcome it. And with my semblance, I was afraid of putting anyone I love in danger. A student in Haven because I had no choice. A fighter because everyone looks down on me. Then I met Sun. He was more like a brother to me than Jupiter ever was. Guess Jupiter was used to the fact of how cruel the world was putting up with the tough act. But in the process, he would make the wrong choices. I don't wanna end up like him. He was right about one thing, reality works in the cruelest ways."

"He was gone after that. The more thought about it, the more I felt like dreams are just nothing more than an illusion. Weiss, tell me something, why approach a guy like me? I'm not really in high standards. You're way too perfect for someone like me. I'm just a loser who can't swim." Neptune said.

Back in the present, Neptune ran from mercenaries hired by Jacques after he was caught. While running though the back alley, he saw a figure who resembles his older brother, but with a blind right eye. He smirked at Neptune.
Neptune thought he saw a ghost of his brother, thinking the situation is messing with his head. Then he bumps into a young woman in a cloak. Neptune helps the woman, only to see her faces and it was Weiss Schnee. Weiss then notices Neptune was being chased, then pushed him to the wall before they can be seen. Weiss then misdirects them. "He went that way!" She lied. And they did not hesitate to follow the wrong direction. Neptune then peered from behind the wall to see Weiss approached by security.
"Miss Schnee, are you alright?" One guard said.
"Nothing is wrong, thank you." Weiss replied, looking at Neptune, still hiding and pints her thumb behind her to tell him to run. Neptune complies without a word.
Although I don't deserve you, Weiss. It won't stop me from trying. Wait for me, Snow Angel.
