"Ok, something strange is definitely happening with Stiles. First, he brings two random people to lunch and now he's alone. Again. I heard that Boston guy say "I hope you know how much we appreciate this, walking and breathing and living..." before Stiles drove away from the vet clinic." Scott said the the pack."So, he's helping them. That sounds like Stiles." Erica suggested, but immediately straightened up when she noticed the front entrance. The others noticed them too after watching her reaction. Lydia and Isaac canoodling as they entered the cafeteria. Jackson turned away a little disgusted, but Scott watched Lydia set Isaac's hands down away from her.
"I need three seconds to talk to Stiles, then I'll be all yours." Lydia gave him a big smile. She walked over to the lonely teen with her arms crossed.
"What a pleasant surprise! How is my favorite scarlet screamer?"
"Funny," Lydia pursed her lips. She was looking at the warlock with an almost cold gaze, "I know what you're doing-what you've done, rather. You have to be careful doing-" she was interrupted by Stiles putting his finger to his lips and looking over at the pack's table. It was almost comical how all of the wolves looked away.
"You know, I am a clumsy person, Lydia, but I am a careful study."
"I know. I should trust you." She turned her rosy cheeks back to Isaac who was waiting patiently for her to return.
"Enjoy your man, see you at your party. Wouldn't miss it for the world!" He smiled at the two, as Isaac gave him a lazy hand wave from around the Banshee's shoulders.
Scott turned back to the group, "Lydia knows?"
"Yes, but I think it's more important that she knows, when Stiles didn't tell her what he was up to," Boyd's eyes followed the two lovers, "whatever Stiles is doing seems to be impacting her in some way."
"I'm sick of this, let's just go up and ask him. We know Stiles, c'mon," Erica stood up. She started walking over to him with a sly grin on her face. Stiles took one peek from his notes just as she got into view.
"Hi," Stiles smiled at her, "care to say something to me?" Erica put one almost clawed hand out to touch his face.
"Just saying hello to my favorite Batman," she smiled, leaning down to show off more of her cleavage. Stiles seemed to tense a bit, "whatcha got there?" She leaned down further to glance at his notes. Stiles started to fidget and dropped the book and she took the opportunity to pounce. There was a scuffle and a lot of heads turning and if the situation could get any worse, Mr. Harris was getting closer. A tray went flying and he almost fell to the floor. Just as Stiles reached for his journal, he heard a very familiar clearing of a throat.
"Stilinski, Reyes. I thought this was a cafeteria, not a gymnasium. If you bundle of hormones want to roughhouse, you can go straight the library after school. Detention. Both of you." Erica took this time to put Stiles' journal into her bag.
"Yessir," Stiles said hotly. He hadn't had a scuffle like that in a long time. Not since Derek had become an alpha and made Isaac, Erica, and Boyd wolves to be in his pack. That had given him another idea. He had looked back down to where his journal was and it had vanished. He glanced up at the pack table and there it was, sprawled out in front of the four people in the entire world who he didn't want it in the hands of. Rage rang in his ears, "You give me back my journal, Erica." She gave a sheepish look back at him a few tables away.
They rushed out of the cafeteria as soon as the bell rang. Erica stood behind for their detention. She looked morose with a face like she was chewing leather. Just waiting for the impending impact of Stiles' wrath. Mr. Harris raised his hand and a group of students met the pair right in front of the teacher. He walked to the library, hand raised, as if it was a judge's mallet about to swing down. "So. You all decided to break the rules, today. And normally, I'd have you all put these nice stacks of books away, however, whenever there are more than just a couple of you guys in here, it is always destroyed inexplicably." Mr. Harris looked around, "Greenberg, Hansen, Charles, you will be coming with me to the locker rooms. Finstock tells me you guys broke some equipment today and he's decided your punishment. That leaves you guys" he gestured to Erica, Stiles, and two other people Stiles had never seen before," do not destroy this library."
The pair of students started to move the trolley and began placing books back where they belong. They were on one side of the aisle and Erica and Stiles were on the other. "Where did they take my journal, Erica?"
"No idea," she lied perfectly with a gorgeous smile on her face.
"You better get an idea," the threat intensified the air, Erica was never one to back down from anything.
"We just want to know what you've been up to Stiles. It's nothing against you."
"So, you rob me? No. No. This is the last straw for you guys. Since you want to know so badly," he gave her a wide smile and he snatched her arm, "I need a little juice," he cut her hand with his nail and immediately the wolf blood burned away.
"Hey! That hurt." She wretched her hand away. "What did you just do?" She glanced up at him and saw his eyes glow for just a moment.
"I told you, showing you what I have been doing." If his grin could get any bigger, it just did and it looked malicious.
