"Walking Into Another Dream"

As they casually drove to a restaurant since it was nearing lunch time,Kun noticed that M/N had the car of his hood gone and laughed "Does he like the cold highway air that much?Isn't it gonna ruin his hair?".Xiaojun watched as he smiled "I don't think so,he said he added a bit of hair spray so it stays as it is.If it doesn't,he needs to style it all over again",he looked away when he felt a vibration on his lap and saw that Renjun was calling him so he answered instantly "Oh,what's up?".The other casually spoke "The boys and I just finished our schedule,you wanna meet up somewhere?",the idol looked out the window as he spoke "Yeah,we're gonna go to that newly opened restaurant.Just meet us there".He gave the others a glance,clearly scared of what would happen once M/N knew who else was gonna be there.

It didn't take much time for them to finally arrive at their destination,WayV were parked right next to the car NCT Dream used as M/N stayed a bit far from them.Hendery walked out the van and caught Chenle's face through the glass,they started talking to each other once they were all out of their vans but Kun had never noticed that M/N was walking to them.The confused boy went to them with a visibly clueless face "Wait,who are these people?",the idol(Kun) turned to him after almost flinching "Oh,you surprised me!".M/N raised his eyebrow "You surprised me more,actually.You think seeing all these strangers so suddenly doesn't surprise me?",Haechan smirked as he saw him "Oh,so this is the lucky fan that you guys became friends with~".He walked to him and gave him his hand "The name's Donghyuck,but you can call me Haechan",M/N simply shook it as he gave a fake smile "I'm Han M/N,it's nice to meet you".He saw the expression in his eyes while he said his name and he'd probably end up kissing him if he was exposed to him much longer,he let go of his hand right away before hugging Kun from behind "Kun-ge,I think I'm getting really hungry right now".The older knew what he was really trying to say and brought him inside along with Winwin,the younger forcing himself to hide his slight discomfort from the straightforwardness of Haechan which he found anything but attractive.

As they ordered,M/N found it much harder to focus since Haechan was the person right in front of him.Haechan kept smiling at him to the point that he had to keep his eyes on his phone so he wouldn't feel so uncomfortable but he was lucky that he was sat next to Jaemin,he felt a tap on his shoulder and saw that he was smiling at him.It wasn't like Haechan's,it felt like he was safe and he wouldn't be feeling any negative feeling.Jaemin fixed his hair "Don't mind him,alright?He's not usually like that,well unless he finds that person he's meeting is incredibly handsome",M/N blushed and went back on his phone.Jaemin simply laughed before checking on what he was doing "Oh,you really are a journalist.Are you on leave today?",M/N shook his head "Only got off work for two weeks since I needed some rest,plus all I need to do is check if my department's works are illegible for publication on the monthly magazine and newsletter release.It's still hard though,considering I sometimes do some articles and works when it's needed the most or only a few were approved by me".They started hitting it off as friends which meant Haechan was nowhere near glad,he could feel the rising temptation to just stand up and bring M/N somewhere private so he could talk to him properly.He tried his best to resist it which was shown in his slight shakiness,M/N knew well what he was feeling since he was quick to read body language and made sure to use it to his advantage.He stood up to use the bathroom which clearly meant that he already expected Haechan to follow him,he went to wash his hands as he kept his eye on the mirror.He heard the door open and saw a black leather sleeve,already knowing who was the person coming in.Haechan casually went in and washed his hands,he intentionally went closer to M/N as he dried his hands by the hand dryer.The boy was casually walked to the door until he felt someone turn him around,the other pulled him close and looked into his eyes "You do know you're attractive,right?".M/N raised his eyebrow as he let go of his hand and placed it on his shoulder "Well,I can't say I don't know about it.I know that I managed to pull a few members of the WayV to me along with my looks and talents though",Haechan smirked before leaning close and slowly kissing him.He pulled away as his heart started to race "Damn...they're so soft...",M/N combed his hand through his hair as he kissed him at the same pace like before.Needless to say,there would be something happening soon if they ever went to the dorm.

TIMESKIP

As they ate,M/N casually ignored Haechan's  short glances since he knew that he would wink at him if he looked straight into his eyes.He felt something touch his foot and looked down,seeing Haechan's shoe being right next to his.He looked at him with clear disgust and confusion,he pulled his foot away before giving Jaemin a nudge on the shoulder.He whispered in his ear "Haechan-hyung tried to make out with me in the bathroom,what do I do when we're gonna go to the dorm?",Jaemin softly laughed before whispering only for M/N to hear "Go to Renjun-hyung and tell him that,he's someone who'll protect you from him on any day.Don't be scared of him though when he starts defending you,he'll probably cuddle you like an older brother when he manages to get you into his room for safety purposes".The boy went away from him and watched as Renjun talked with Winwin,he couldn't tell if the other was just faking being kind or he was just easy to anger.He kept eating right until he finished everything on the plate,he ran wiped his lips with a tissue before getting a call.He instantly picked up and spoke with really a surprised tone "Woah,sudden news coming from someone like you.Do you think I even need to work on that kind of issue when you have something like that in your hands?",he looked at Haechan as he kept on going "Alright,I'll help you with your main prompt before you actually start on working with your draft.As your senior journalist,it's my job to help you anyway".He kept talking right until he hung up,clearly knowing that he would be back to work a bit sooner.

Once the bill came around,M/N casually pulled out his gold credit card as if he was the richest one in between all of them.The waiter took it and M/N casually fixed his hair with his phone as a mirror,Haechan looked at him with a small grin "Seems like someone's the breadwinner of their family~".M/N looked up "What family?",Haechan raised his eyebrow "Do you not have any parents?Any family?".He gave Kun a stare and went silent,his aura became relaxed but there were hints of negativity in them.Yangyang rubbed his neck in slight embarrassment "We weren't joking when he said no parents at all,you guys.It doesn't mean just because Ten and Kun are his unofficial parents,he has them",M/N softly scoffed before checking his bag "I wonder if I ever took my notepad out of this before I filed for a off-work rest,I never check".He started rummaging around as he never noticed the way Haechan was looking at him,it wasn't just attraction but slight affection blended in with his stare.Little did he know,he'd really fall in love with him the more he was exposed to him.

The waiter came back with M/N's receipt and card along with their leftovers,they all stood up and Haechan had to slip as he casually passed a small puddle of water.M/N was quick to catch him thanks to his speedy reflexes and brought Haechan to a safer surface,he looked at him with slight disgust "Don't even think of me actually liking you,I would never think of becoming your boyfriend".He walked off as Haechan was frozen,his heart was racing and he felt he could just fall down onto the floor from how flustered he was feeling.He couldn't forget the moment he saw the worry on his face leave his face as he managed to save him from injuring himself,Kun crossed his arms while grinning softly when he saw the slightly red cheeks he had : "Oh,so it's only now that M/N's getting a chance to love someone...I wonder how this is gonna turn out~"
