WakemeupShipping - "Is that a Pikachu?"

It's my first time visiting the Kanto region. It's been an exciting couple of days as I rode on Troppy's back all the way from the Hoenn region. I talked to him all about the new towns and cities we can visit, all the new trees we can climb, and the best part -or maybe the second best part- is to visit our seniors. I don't think Troppy was all that interested, but I don't care.

As of right now, I'm resting in a tree in the... What do ya call it? In the Viridian Forest, that's it! Honestly, it's not as great as the trees I've slept in in the Hoenn region, but it's good enough.

I draped my leg over a large tree branch so I was straddling it. I brought my other leg over and I accidentally kicked something that did not feel like a tree branch.

"Izzat a new Pokemon...?" I said quietly to myself as I brought out my Pokenav to run a scan. It wasn't detecting anything. "Stupid piece of junk..." I said to myself again. Using my own senses is way easier.

I looked up and saw a yellow tuft of fur above me on another tree branch. I thought for a moment. "That must be a Pikachu! I heard those're rare around these parts of Kanto..." I whispered as I carefully moved to a standing position on the tree, causing it to shake a bit.

Suddenly, the Pikachu moved. Then, there popped out a head from where the Yellow tuft of fur was! It was a girl. A girl with yellow hair. That sure explains a lot. In fact, she was a little cute. Only a little.

"Who're you?" The yellow-haired girl asked. Her long Yellow ponytail hung down from her head as she hung from the tree branch in an upside-down position.

"Those are my lines!" I said. "Who are you?!"

"I'm Yellow of Viridian Forest!" The yellow-haired girl said. She placed a straw sun hat on her head, covering her long ponytail. She landed onto the large branch I was standing on with a light thump. "But answer my question! Who are you?"

I scratched the back of my head as the girl's yellow eyes gave me a soft glare. I could show her a real glare -from experience, of course,- but for some reason, I didn't want to appear intimidating to her. She was just... Cute, pure.

I blinked a couple of times. "Uh... Sorry! I'm Sapphire! A Pokedex holder!" I pulled my Pokedex out of my bag to show her, and the yellow-haired girl's expression softened.

"Oh... I'm sorry, Sapphire! If I knew that earlier I wouldn't have been like that... What are you doing here in Viridian Forest? I was just taking a nap in the trees..." Yellow said, laughing softly at the last part.

I looked at Yellow with a puzzled expression. "You like to nap in the trees?!" I asked.

"Yeah... I'm sorry if it seems weird to you..."

I grinned. "No! I do too! Gosh, it's like we're soulmates!" I said, grabbing both of Yellow's hands. My eyes widened as I realized what I said at the end. I quickly let go of the smaller girl's hands and I smiled awkwardly. "S-Sorry! I got a lil' carried away... I've just never met someone who shares a common interest as me..."

Yellow paused before she spoke, as if she was overthinking about something. "It's fine! Do you... Want to find a nice spot to take a nap?"

I blushed a bit. "Sure... I guess. Can you show me around after?"

Yellow gave me a sweet smile. "Of course!" She said as she laid down on the large tree branch next to me. The huge trunk of the tree supported our backs as Yellow started to talk to me all about the Kanto region.

After hours of talking together, I noticed Yellow was starting to get tired as her talking got slower. I blushed a bit as I scooched closer to her so she could rest her head on my shoulder. I freaked out internally when she did, but I bit my bottom lip so I wouldn't make a fit... Like I usually would.

As I felt Yellow's breath even out, I started to slowly doze off, too. I rested my head on top of Yellow's fluffy yellow-hair head, and I fell asleep soon later. Hopefully there won't be any sort of annoying types of Taillow or Zigzagoon to wake me up.

...

I ended this at (exactly) 1:54 am, so I'm sorry that this ending ended up being rushed. See you in the next oneshot!
