Chapter four
Kitchen, Avengers Tower
It was an early morning for the Avengers, each member doing their own thing in the kitchen preparing for team breakfast, Tony was brewing everyone's coffee, Steve was helping Sam cook, and by helping, he was mixing whatever was in the frying pan when told to. Natasha was eating an apple while searching through the fridge for juice and Bruce was waiting patiently at the kitchen table, searching more into the whole web shooter thing. There was a newfound hope in the team, Steve and Natasha had made a little progress with the soldier and Tony and Bruce were stringing together the missing pieces slowly but surely.
Once everything was done, the Avengers gathered at the table to eat together, engaging in light conversation, and feeling as if the stress of the past few weeks was finally lessening. Steve wasn't so wound up about the whole situation because he had his team to help him and at least he had gotten the soldier away from Hydra's hands.
The Avengers were painfully unaware, however, of the plotting Hydra was doing against them in hopes of finding their super soldier, training was commencing, and they were searching every corner of New York right under everybody's noses. Hydra was an unstoppable force, and they would tear New York apart until they got what they wanted.

Shield HQ
"There has been an influx of reports of Hydra attacks in the city, old factories and buildings being destroyed, the number of civilians dead or injured stays at zero though."
Fury turns away from the large window in his office and faces his deputy, "What are they looking for?"
Maria sighs, scrolling through her tablet and shaking her head, "It isn't clear yet."
Fury nods, sitting in his desk chair, "Well, send the agents out there to check it out, if you think it's too big a threat, inform the Avengers about it."
Maria nods before exiting the room, Fury watching her leave with heavy exhale.

Holding cell, Avengers Tower
Steve decided since the day had started on a good note, he and Natasha would try and talk to the soldier in hopes of getting him to talk a little more, so instead of the shield agents that guard the cells giving him breakfast, they would. As they strolled into the room, the soldier stood up, ready to take the food from what he thought would be the usual guards but when he looked up to see the two Avengers, he froze.
"We're just here to talk.", it was Steve who spoke first, holding the tray of food in his hands, he knows by opening the cell door, it gives you an opening to attack him and he hadn't brought his shield, but he'd like to think he could trust you enough. So, he balanced the tray in one hand and typed in the code for the door with the other and when the door opened, he slowly stepped inside. You had an impassive look on your face, but you didn't look angry, so Steve took that as a good sign, placing the tray by the door and stepping back out. He hoped if he showed you that he could trust you, you'd trust him too.
Natasha watched from a few steps behind Steve as you glanced at the tray, back up to Steve, then at her. When she caught your eye, she smiled gently but it faded when you looked away.
"How you holding up? They treating you well?", Steve tried to lighten the mood, but you were unresponsive, taking your tray and sitting down on your bed. He sighed but didn't give up just yet, "We wanted to ask you a few questions.", he turned to Nat as he said this, and she nodded. They watched as you began eating in silence, not really knowing what to say, but then you looked up at them almost as if you were expecting something, Natasha spoke.
