Today was the day that all people in Konaha had been waiting for,

The chunin exams finals

People had come far and wide to witness this spectacular event, most notably the Kazekage,

The seats were full of awaiting viewers arriving for the historic event, not only civilians were there, senseis, genin and other ninja were here to see the event,

Another particular group if guests were the straw hat pirates who came to see their friend and soon to be crew mate in the exams, even though they were wanted criminals to the world, they were not apprehended as instructed by Minato for two reasons

1. For the fact that they did not cause any trouble and he didn't want any unnecessary panic amongst the civilians

2. It was his first step in gaining his son's forgiveness

The second reason did not go unnoticed by said son, as this did not help his conflicted mind, but he pushed those feelings aside and got ready for his fight against the so called hyuga prodigy Neji Hyuga

Minato stood up from his seat on the kage's stand beside the Kazekage to address the crowd in front of him.

"Thank you all for coming to this year's chunin exams finals, I hope you all enjoy your stay and the upcoming matches" Minato said arousing cheers from the people present

'I was sleeping' 'you know what, now is not the time' Naruto thought, in the room with him was many chunin hopefuls including his whole team, "good luck" Nemma said to his team mate "yeah, show that neji whose boss" mito said "sure thing" naruto responded, "by the way Sakura, have you seen Sasuke?" naruto asked, "no, I haven't seen him since he went to train with kakashi-sensei" she said "*sigh* that man, always late" naruto said as Genma the proctor of this stage call him and Neji for their battle "good luck naruto" Sakura said "thanks" naruto responded

There were many cheers mostly for Neji, but their were some who cheered for Naruto, mostly the straw hats "go Naruto, show that Naji whose boss" Luffy yelled "you idiot, his name is Neji!" Nami yelled at he captain and was completely ignored and luffy's attention was fixated at the upcoming match, she sighed in annoyance and looked to the arena "beat his ass, Naruto!" she yelled "yeah!" usopp and chopper yelled, the rest just looked on in anticipation, near them was hinata who looked at the upcoming match in anticipation 'you can do it naruto-kun' she thought next to her was the other jonin senseis with the rest of the genin stayed to watch the fight all except kakashi who was late as always "damn that kakashi, I can't believe all his genin made it to the finals, and he has 5" Asuma said with a cigarette in his mouth "you really need to drop that smoking addiction" Kurenai said taking the cigarette away from the man, Asuma looked lost without his cigarette and Kurenai just smirked, "JUST KISS HIM ALREADY!" a certain purple haired ninja yelled, behind her was itachi and iruka"SHUT UP ANKO!" both Kurenai and Asuma yelled while blushing "go find kakashi or something" Kurenai said "I would but I have no idea where he is, I thought he would be here" anko said leaning on Kurenai much to her displeasure "well he is just being himself but this time he took that Sasuke kid with him" Asuma said "that Cyclops better not get my bother disqualified because of his tardiness" Itachi mummbled making iruka laugh a bit
