Ahead we found Beta waiting for us.
"Um Beta, d-did you perhaps told the bear earlier to chase after Mr. F-Flamingo?" I asked
"AH! YES my stuttering friend!" Beta said... "Why did you do that?" Ted asked...
"Every time I come here, somehow that bird is here with his antics, and frankly I got very annoyed" Beta said... "He is pretty annoying" Cole added
"Anyway... YOU ALL! Ahead of you is another challenge" Beta asserted,
"Another challenge!" Cole said frustrated.
"The wolves almost killed US!" Cole added "But the next challenge will be a doozy... beyond here is a checkpoint, I will be waiting for you at the village entrance." Beta said with a much more serious tone.
"Goodbye" Beta said, before zooming away in the distance.
"Lets... go ahead..." I said, going ahead
We then reached the checkpoint.
There the giant beetle from the springs was manning the check point.
"Hello their children, ahead this path is Joy Village, the place of happiness, the place of joy!" Beetle greeted...
Next to Beetle is... Mr. Flamingo wearing a coat made from bear fur.
"Mr. Flamingo! Is that, BEAR FUR?!" Ted said, Mr. Flamingo then stared at me,
"Yes" said Mr. Flamingo
"Did You KILL THE bear???" Cole said...
"No, I just bought today at the tanners, like it?" Mr. Flamingo said.
"Whatever he says makes no sense, there's no point making sense of it now" I said.
"What happened with the bear then?" Ted asked,
"Oh the bear? He got fed up and went to go to work in his law firm" Mr. Flamingo said...
"A-A law firm... What's wrong with this place?" I mumbled...
"So ahead this checkpoint is Joy village" I said
"Yeah, Beta said she'd be waiting for us, what do you think it is for?" Ted asked
"Whatever it is, she better explain to us what's with the challenges!!!" Cole said...
And so we headed.
There is the end of the lush Forest, there aren't much trees... there are stairs leading down to the entrance of Joy... looking over it is Beta Carotene...
"Welcome you all, to the Joy Village!" Beta Carotene Greeted us hovering from the ground arms wide as if she is welcoming us to Joy
"Wow! It looks so cozy!" Cole said admiring the sight...
Beyond the stairs showed a small village surrounded by mountains and ahead is the big city...
"Look at it, so peaceful" Beta Carotene softly said gazing at the village.
"2000 years of abandonment" Beta solemnly murmured
"Many of Someplace Else's inhabitants grew much hate against people from the other side" Beta said
Beta's solemn and soft spoken remarks were much contrast to her personality
"2000 years?" Cole said astonished... "Yes" Beta answered...
Beta then picked herself up from visible sorrow in her face, and replaced it with a stern expression of cheer although forced, it still changed the mood a lot.
