Warnings for sexual tension and talking about religion
Jess looked around the large suite. "Are you sure there hasn't been some mix-up?" she asked, looking over her shoulder at Cavan.
"No." He smiled. "This is all yours. My treat."
She let go of her suitcase handle and engulfed Cavan in a hug. He hugged her close.
"I'm glad you could come with us," he murmured.
"Me, too." Jess smiled and pulled back from him. "Thank you. This... This is amazing."
Cavan nodded. "I'll let you settle in. I'm going to shower and grab a bite to eat before heading to the field. Want to join me?"
"I'll see."
Cavan left her alone and Jess couldn't help but laugh excitedly. She went to the window and drew back the curtains. Their hotel overlooked downtown Miami; life bustling about on the streets below.
Her phone vibrated in her pocket. She took it out and saw Bo calling her. "What's up?" she answered.
"Santi just left to get food with some of the guys," Bo said. "Do you want to come order room service with me?"
Jess smiled widely. "I'd love to. Give me a minute to change?"
"Take your time. I'm in room 513."
Jess hung up and quickly opened her suitcase. She mulled over her options before deciding on a pair of light denim shorts and a lilac coloured short-sleeved blouse. She grabbed a black scrunchie and tied her hair up in a high bun. She grabbed her wallet, room key, and phone, and slipped on a pair of flip-flops before heading down the hall.
She smiled awkwardly to a few of the guys she passed.
"You coming for food?" Alek asked, walking around her with Hyun-Jin.
Jess shook her head. "No, but thank you. Bo and I are going to order room service."
Alek smirked and shared a look with Hyun-Jin. "Have fun."
"You too." She smiled and walked down the hallway until she reached 513. She knocked twice and waited.
The door swung open and Bo grinned at her. "Hey."
"Hey." Jess stepped inside. "So, what are we thinking?"
"I'm not too picky." Bo walked to the dresser were a room service menu sat. "Have you had a chance to look at the options?"
"Not yet." She walked to his side and looked over his arm to the menu. "You?"
"Briefly." He looked down at her and smiled. "How hungry are you?"
Jess shrugged. "Not overly. I had breakfast before we left Toronto."
Bo raised his eyebrows. "That was like... 5 hours ago now."
She smiled innocently. "Which is why I agreed to come eat with you."
"Not because you like my company?" he mused.
"Hmm. That's a perk." She smiled.
Bo didn't look away. He just smiled softly.
Jess cleared her throat and broke eye contact. "I take it you're pretty hungry?"
"Yeah," Bo said. "I'll probably get a full meal."
"Whatever you want." She skimmed over the options. She was so hyper-aware of how close she was to Bo that it was hard for her to concentrate on the menu. She just looked at the options with pictures, because her whirring mind just could not make out any of the written options.
