I heard a soft voice call out to me."huh?" I said while turning to see Mirabel standing behind me.
"Mira?" I said in a surprised voice with the memories of the yesterday hitting me like a fucking train. I ran up to her and gave her a tight hug."I'm so fucking sorry "I said with my face in her neck
"Hey...it's not your fault ok?" she said while patting and rubbing my back.
"I know I can't help but feel bad tho" I said while releasing her.
"Don't...ok? And the door is over there" she said while slightly laughing. I thanked her then made my way home scared of the beating I might get from my mom for coming home late.

I quietly unlocked the door and tip toed into the house. I saw a neon sticky note on the fridge that read
I'm at work and ima do overtime, make sure you do your chores

I groaned loudly before heading up to my room to take a shower and get ready to leave, I'll just do them when I get back.
I walked into my room and plopped down on my bed.
"Whew! Damn!" I said out loud before stretching out my arms and attempting to crack my back. I laid back in my bed and told myself I'll just take a quick nap and wake up at 12:20.
"Ok it's 12 right now, lemme set a timer to wake up" I explained to myself then took my ass to sleep.
~Time skip~
I woke up and checked my phone to see that it was 1 on the dot, I started to go back to sleep before I realized.
"Wait a damn minute" I checked the time again and freaked tf out.
"NOOO I THOUGHT I SET A TIMER" I immediately went to my alarm app to see that i did set a timer but I snoozed it.
"Shit!" I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to shower.
"Black people can't be on time for shit"
