I stared at my phone screen with a smile on my face before i placed down my pencil and putting my homework on pause.

I responded to her then saved her contact. I continued my homework while humming the song playing on my headphones.
"I think of her so much, it drives me crazy ,I just don't want her to leave meeeee" I mumbled the lyrics under my breath to Dark Red by Steve Lacy.
"CAMILOOOO" I heard my mamá call out to me
"Sí?" I yelled back
"tenemos que ir a saludar el L/N's (we have to go greet the L/N's)" She shouted back. That name sounded familiar, but i honestly didn't wanna go.
"DO I HAVE TO GO" I shouted with a groan
"Sí!" I heard Isabela shout
"I WASN'T EVEN TALKING TO YOU" Shouted to her
"cállate y prepárate! (be quiet and get ready)" I heard Abuela shout this time and I flinched at her tone before getting out of my chair and walking over to my closet to find formal clothes.
"SORRY ABUELA" Isabela shouted while i didn't respond. I quickly choose something and got dressed.

Abuela didn't like it when i wore my hair down to 'formal activities' so I pulled it back into a messy bun with a few strands out. I put on a few bracelets and slipped on my dress shoes.. Since i was done I decided to start my home work again before i noticed a text Y/N sent me 10min ago.

It made sense where i heard that name from so i responded to her then walked down stairs to meet my family upon getting a text from Mira to come down.

I was currently getting ready for Camilo and his family to come. My mom wanted me to dress up because she wants me to date a Madrigal. Or some other shi like dat. I turned on Pieces by Ella Mai and started getting ready.

I took the chance to look cute but i didn't wanna go to overboard so i decided on this dress. I pulled my hair back into a messy bun witha few coils of my curls out and swooped my edges.
"You look cute N/N" My mom said while walking into my room and giving me a kiss on my cheek.
"Thank you Momma" I said while hugging her. "Can you help me choose some shoes?"
"Of course baby" She walked over to my closet and looked at my many shoe boxes.

"I got these when we went to that one store in Dallas" I explained to her.

We heard the front door ring . Me and my mom looked at each other and smiled before going back down stairs
"Now you go and get me a good looking son or daughter in law"
"ughhhhh Mommaa" I whined with a almost unnoticeable smile with the thought of a certain boy in mind.
