A pair of plain white eyes bore directly into Eve's eyes. Amorphous green veins were evident on the pale skin below its eyes. What caught Eve's attention the most was the fact that whatever thing was leeched on the ceiling looked exactly like her, but just a mangled version of her. It dressed like her, just that the pajama it wore was ripped in different places, revealing primitive parts of its body.

Its scanty cognac hair didn't do a good job in covering the large hemorrhaging sores on its pale face. Its mouth was wide to an extent that it shouldn't be, revealing scattered decaying teeth. Reddish string of saliva hung from its mouth as it craned its head, accessing Evelyn.

Several bones snapped as it writhed its body. It looked like it was having a seizure. Whatever it was was far beyond human, but nevertheless, it was Evelyn Hayes.

Evelyn was just rooted to her spot. Unable to move. Her brain wasn't processing anything at that moment and her adrenal gland seemed to have stopped working at that moment. To see something completely inhuman is one thing, and for it to resemble you is another.

Evelyn had completely forgotten she was worried about the horrid smell minutes ago. She had something bigger to deal with.

Slowly but surely, she started to regain her body. First of all, she could hear the snapping of bones as it writhed on the ceiling. Secondly, she could feel warm tears slither down her cheek and lastly, she heard it speak.

"Leave my home!" it bellowed with a raspy voice.

It was then Evelyn fully recollected herself. Her cellphone slipped from her hand as she jolted up from the bed, dashing out of the room into the living room.

She immediately regretted dropping her phone due to the darkness she faced. Ragged breaths that sounded like someone had finished a two hundred mile race were heard behind her back and that whiff of gore lingered in the air.

Her lips trembled as she used her hands to reach out to the door. There was no door because maybe she wasn't close to it. She broke into a sprint immediately she felt something sharp against the back of her neck.

She tripped on an object and came crashing down instantly. An excruciating pain shot through her ankle but she shot up like nothing happened.

"Help!" she whimpered, feeling around for the door. She finally got hold of the door knob.

  Freedom.

She twisted the door knob and to her dismay, it didn't open. She left her keys in the keyhole but it wasn't there anymore. She frantically  banged the door like her life depended on it.

"Fuck! This can't be happening to me," she muttered as she continued banging the door.

A loud shriek erupted from the creature and Evelyn ears rang bells. A sickening plop was thereafter heard. The creature had fallen down too.

All of these didn't make sense to Evelyn at all. First it started with her house, then she was brought to a place she had never seen in her entire life.

There was no way she was getting out of the cabin without contacting someone. She needed her phone at this moment, which indirectly meant going back to the room she came from. It was a risk she wasn't ready to take because if anything went wrong, she'd be trapped in the room with that creature. She also needed to be fast.

While the creature was trying to get back on its feet, she limped towards the room. The flashlight that was still put on made her locate the phone easily.

She was so confused about everything that was happening. Her hands wouldn't stop shaking and her heart beat lost its rhythm. Tears poured down her cheeks profusely.
