Chapter 3 title: Ice cream and warm cuddles
Chapter 3 summary: Thea finds Oliver awake and crying in the freezer.

3:30 am finds Thea Queen into the kitchen, her slippered feet automatically walking her to the walk-in freezer where mountains of ice cream are housed. Opening the big door to the freezer, Thea frowns when she hears whimpering coming from inside the freezer. Who is that? Thea thinks as she steps further into the freezer.

In the corner of the chocolate fudge ice cream, Thea gasps as she sees her older brother curled up on his side, tears pouring down his face. Thea kneels down in front of him, not caring that the cold of the freezer is making her extremely cold, runs her fingers through Oliver's short brown hair.

"Ollie, what's wrong? Why are you in the freezer at 3:30 in the morning?" Thea asks him, waiting for him to respond, which he doesn't. Thea doesn't do anything except pull her brother's head onto her fleeced covered lap and cover him up in her thick dressing gown to keep him warm.

Why is Ollie in here only wearing a thin cotton t-shirt and shorts, knowing how cold it is? Thea asks herself as she watches the tears fall from her brothers eyes, not a word passing through either of their lips.

Even though he's crying, wearing thin clothes and in the freezer with his head in my lap, this is nice. Thea thinks as she watches Ollie fall asleep, his tears stopping. Thea smiles at her slumbering older brother before her own eyes close and she falls asleep in the freezer, holding her big brother.

Earlier the next morning, Moria Queen finds both her children sleeping in the freezer. She smiles as she covers them both in a thick blanket to keep them warm, and leaves but not before kissing both their foreheads.
