It had been only 1 month since Percy had proposed. They had been at their happiest while preparing for the wedding.
*Flashback*
Both of them were laughing so hard when they were walking back to the hotel.
"I wonder why the lifeguard acted like that," Annabeth said, with laughs in between."Yeah," Percy replied, the same as Annabeth. "When we came out of the water he was just staring at us. Then he started saying stuff like "Oh, you didn't drown." or "Could you have drowned so I could have saved you so I could get a promotion so I could get big bucks so I could get the ladies' attention?"
"Oh yeah, then he told us that dad joke. He was like, "See, last week, I got fired from my lifeguard job. It turns out the girls have to be drowning before you can kiss them!"
She started doubling over in laughter. But that joke just reminded him that he was actually engaged.
"Hey, Wise Girl?""Yeah, Seaweed Brain?"
"I'm glad that you agreed to marry me. You know, this means that you're not so smart!"
"Yeah, well... I am still smart because I know I have to start designing the wedding."
"Annabeth! Can't you take one day off? "
"Never. It comes with marrying a daughter of Athena."
"Oh, gods."
Annabeth just laughed. Percy put his arm around Annabeth's shoulder."Last one to the hotel has to be the DJ for the wedding?" She said that because she knew they were both horrible DJs.
"You're on!"
*Present Day*
Annabeth had been up late, designing the invitations. When she had first started, they were spectacular. But now, because Annabeth was starting to feel sleepy, the invitations were looking a bit...well, bad. It was 2 am, and Annabeth was still designing them. She wanted her wedding to be the best thing that had ever happened. But her tiredness took over and she dozed off.
"Annabeth?" Percy asked. He had been watching TV while waiting for Annabeth. She did promise that she would come up soon.
"Annabeth?" Percy asked again, more worried this time.
He ran down to the desk where Annabeth was sleeping. He smiled to himself. His fiancée was sleeping peacefully. She had never looked more beautiful. She even made cute cooing sounds. How had Percy never noticed it before?
Percy looked at the invitations. Some of them looked really good. He figured that Annabeth wanted the wedding to happen. Wow! She loved him with all her heart, huh? Percy decided that he had better get some practice for the wedding. He picked her up bridal style and carried her to the bed. He did NOT change her into pajamas. That would have been weird. Instead, he tucked her into bed with her normal clothes on. Then, he pushed his bed to her bed and made a mega bed, tucking himself in after that.
Unfortunately, it was too hot so he removed his shirt. He couldn't wait to see Annabeth's reaction in the morning!
8 am the next day
When Annabeth woke up, she was buzzing with questions. How come she was in bed? Why was Percy sleeping with her in a mega bed? And the big question: HOW COME PERCY WAS WEARING NO SHIRT? Annabeth blushed so hard, but the good thing was that Percy was not awake. Or so she thought. She kept staring at his abs.
After a few minutes, Percy sat up. "What's up, Wise Girl?"
Annabeth screamed and fell off the bed. "Put some clothes on!"
