I Wish

Niall and I have been friends since I was 13 and he was 14. Long ago in 2008 my family spontaneously moved to Ireland from Florida. Mullingar to be more specific. It was mid-July when I met Niall.

I was just walking around a nearby neighborhood when I heard someone singing. I looked around to see a little boy planting flowers in the front yard.

"You have a nice voice," I said causing him to jump. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you"

"No no, it's okay," he stood up and brushed the dirt off of himself.

"I'm Lola" I awkwardly said.

"Niall, are you new I've never seen you before. Also, your accent is different"

"I just moved here from Florida, and I think you are the one with a different accent" after my comment I notice his face turned a slight shade of pink.

"Sorry bout that"

"It's okay, do you need any help?" I say noticing his not-so-great job at planting the flowers.

"Could you help me? Sorry, I'm not that good at it. I'm just trying to do it for my mom, she likes the neighbor's flowers" he motions his head to the house across the street with an array of colorful plants. Niall's small garden is nothing compared to theirs.

"My family is really really big with plants I can bring some here tomorrow. They're all big and colorful," I said as his face then lit up and nodded in response.

I helped Niall with the garden the next couple of days. It got so good to the point where his neighbor came over and asked how we as kids did that. It was beautiful. If it wasn't because of me, Niall he would have never known how to keep a plant alive.

We became inseparable even though we were in different grades. During my free periods, I snuck into his lunch and waved to him in his class. I became quite popular among the boys. Lots of the girls didn't like me that much. I wouldn't blame them, I never knew the boys were flirting and me with a flirty personality, it didn't mix well. Compared to the other girls I looked very very beachy. I think that's the right word. That sun from Florida never left, and I still wore all of my beach-style clothes every day. I was a Florida/surfer girl.

It wasn't till 2010 that we stopped seeing each other every day. Niall became part of a band called One Direction with some other random boys. He was busy in the competition, then once the show ended I finally got to reunite with him. It felt like forever.

We both grew up and matured a little in that time. It wasn't long till we started going out together. I was next to him for the whole first album and tour. He loved it, traveling so much but still having me with him.

Then there was Harry.

I first saw him on Tv when he auditioned and on YouTube with all the X-factor videos. I didn't know anything about him other than he was a baker and has a cool name. Styles.

He was pretty. Don't get me wrong he is attractive, it's just at the time I had a fat crush on Niall.

We first met when I first got to see Niall after a year. All five of the boys were there. So were other family and friends.

I've got to say Harry was adorable and really funny. If Niall and I didn't have anything going on I would've 100% flirted with Harry a lot.

Compared to all the boys Harry would talk to me the least. He honestly avoided me at all costs. That kinda hurt my feelings but it's fine. Like what did I do or say that made him hate me?

It wasn't until 2013 that for some reason he started to act nice. He may have just pushed the hatred away because I was kinda coming with them on their second tour. Anyway, I didn't care that much we kinda already established that we didn't talk to each other.

Well, he still didn't talk to me as much, but he didn't leave the room or stop the conversation when I walked in. Now that I think of it he basically just ignored me, he didn't even notice I was there. That's better than before though.

Except for Harry, I was close friends with everyone else in the band Liam, Zayn, Louis, and of course Niall.

A little accident brought us a wee bit closer that year in 2013.
