Chapter 28

Sam's P.O.V.

The call was extremely random and took me by complete surprise. I was still crying into Lauryn's chest, but I wasn't sure if I was crying for joy or because I was scared. How could I be pregnant?! The pregnancy test said NEGATIVE! I felt a pair of hands begin to rub my back.

"Sam what's wrong" Lauryn's familiar voice asked. She took my shaky hands into hers, but I still felt hands rubbing my back. I turned my head around to see Zayn. His cheeks were flushed and it looked as if he were on the verge of bursting into tears. "Sam?" Lauryn asked again. I shot my head back up to her worried face. I just glared pleadingly into her brown eyes hoping that she could read my mind or the thought would somehow just pop into head. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I slowly stood up and felt Zayn's hands grab my waist. As I stood up I almost fell because of the big surprise that has been told to me, but good thing Zayn's there to catch me.

"Who was that on the phone?" Liam asked rising from his spot on the couch and walking over to me.

"Um... my dad. Lauryn I need to talk to you." I lied and grabbed Lauryn's forearm and forced her into the hallway outside of the hotel room. I had a sudden pain, but this time in my heart. Lying and saying talking about my dad, then being in a hotel hallway made me miss him. Oh my gosh, what is he going to say when he finds out that I'm pregnant? Or worse what is he going to do to Zayn?

"Sam?" Lauryn questioned while snapping her fingers around in front on my face. I snapped out of my thoughts and focused on her. "What did dad say?" She asked looking worried. I took a deep breath and leaned against the smooth wall. I looked at the floral carpet and took another breath. I looked up at her and noticed she didn't look worried anymore, but irritated. "Sam tell me now!" She ordered while crossing her arms.

"I...I'm...am..." I hesitated.

"You're what?" She asked getting closer to me.

"Pregnant..." I whispered into her ear and felt water appearing at the brim of my eyes. She stood there wide-eyed then all of a sudden a smile began to unfold on her lips. She ran over to me even though there was only a couple feet between us and hugged me so tight I was having trouble breathing. I patted back telling her to let go and she did. "You can't tell anyone! Not even Harry!" I told her. She squealed silently and nodded in agreement.

"What about Zayn?" She asked losing the smile and gaining an curious look.

"I'll tell him just not now. I don't want him to lose focus and do bad at the show tonight." I explained.

"Well he's probably losing focus now because one you threw up, two you get an anonymous phone call, three you just start crying, and four you ran out into the hallway with me suspiciously." She griped while counting out each thing on her fingers.

"Right, well can you help me explain...well make up a story to tell him and the rest of them so they don't get worried." I begged with pleading eyes. She sighed and forcefully nodded. I smiled and cheered.

"Alright just follow my lead OK?" She asked in hushed tone. I nodded my head as we came near the door. "Pretend to be sad again." She commanded. I did as I was told and thought of the memory about my dad and I and when we found out that our old pet dog, Tucker, had a tumor in his stomach. (Sorry for the terrible image, but had to think of something that would make her cry.) Tears began to roll off my cheeks the more I thought about all the sweet and fun memories I had with him. Also the more I thought about his cute puppy features. Lauryn knocked on the door and I felt butterflies in my stomach. I don't know why, maybe because Lauryn isn't the best liar and her being the lead just might give the secret away. I thought of Tucker to get my mind off the butterflies, but felt yet another tear stream down my already red and stinging cheek as I thought of his golden fur that engulfed his large, cuddly body. The door opened and Louis was standing in the doorway.
