She was a logical thinking person.
Her whole life was logical.
She could explain her life logically.
So she would clarify this situation with logic.
"Okay, in order.
1. my body is in a kind of coma (to explain logically) but is not dead, which means I am not a ghost.
2. I am outside of my body (semi logical, but reports of out-of-body experiences have been reported before).
3. neither Dr. Bergmann nor the nurse could see me (not logical at all).
Shit!"
She buried her head in her hands.
"That doesn't make any sense,
nothing about it is logical!
What do you do in a case like this?
Look for something logical."
...
Simple.
Don't.
"I should look around."
She stood up and walked toward the door, reaching out her hand for the handle, hesitating.
She wondered, "Dr. Bergmann's hand slipped through me. Will I even be able to touch the handle?"
She took a deep breath,
-
and pushed it down.
The door swung open, revealing a brightly lit hallway.
She stepped out of the doorway and continued to look around.
Nothing, the hallway was empty.
To her right, the hallway ended in a large window that looked out onto a small park where a few people were walking around.
To the left was a large white door that said 'Staircase'.
She walked up to the door, down the stairs behind it, and into a large entrance hall that was teeming with people.
Several signs hung from the ceiling.
She read what was written on some of them:
-Registration
-Waiting Area
-Courtyard
-Emergency Room
Yes, she was clearly in a hospital.
She needed to clear her head.
"Some fresh air never hurts, so inner courtyard."
She was about to make her way through the many people when a young girl ran up to her.She tried to dodge, but the girl just ran right through her.h well, she was practically not there.
Now she needed fresh air even more.
On the way out, people ran through her several times, which left her with a queasy feeling.
She reached the door to the courtyard and stepped out.
"How can that be, that's just not logical?"
"What's not logical?"
An old man next to her looked at her questioningly.
