Max' POV
Monaco was looking beautiful. I was standing on my balcony looking over this beautiful country. Monaco was getting ready for the next Grand Prix. It always has been a special one here. There were a lot of celebrities and a lot of people watched this one. The pressure to win in Monaco was extremely high.
Christian asked me to come to the Red Bull hospitality. I had to do a lot of interviews. I hated doing press but maybe I could see Rylee and try to talk to her. I haven't talked to her since the last race and that talk did not end well. I still don't understand it, did she really not know I was a Red Bull driver? She walked around the paddock for the past couple of weeks. How could she never have noticed?
I walked out of my apartment. The track wasn't far away from my place so I could just walk over there. My family was flying in today to spend the weekend with me. So that means there is even more pressure on me because my dad was only expecting a win.
Christian greeted me with a pat on my back as I walked in the hospitality. He looked excited for this weekend. "Max how are you feeling? Ready for this weekend." I grabbed a Red Bull and opened it quickly. "Yes I am really excited. Let's try to win this one." Christian nodded enthusiastically. I know he finally wanted to beat Mercedes after seven years so I needed to be at the top of my game every weekend.
My press manager walked over to me, gesturing that I needed to follow her to the interviews. I followed her to the conference room for the press conference. I walked in and sat down in front of all the journalists. For once I was happy I got paired up with Lewis, so I could see Rylee. Lewis entered the room, nodding at me. I nodded but quickly looked back in the room. There she was. She was sitting at the back of the room, wearing the Mercedes team kit. She looked so beautiful, her long black hair hung below her shoulders. She looked down at her phone and her hair fell over her eyes. She brushed it back over her left shoulder, looking up and meeting my eyes. She quickly looked away.
The press conference went well. They always ask the same kind of questions so I was prepared for them.
As soon as the conference was over I got up quickly.
I sighed when I saw her walking away with Lewis. I couldn't go talk to her when she was with Lewis.I was walking back to the hospitality and I walked passed Charles. I walked over to him, giving him handshake. "Hey mate how are you?"
He smiled putting his phone away. "Good, a little nervous for the weekend but I'm feeling excited." Monaco was his home Grand Prix, so it was only normal that he felt kind of nervous.
"Don't stress too much, you'll do great mate" I actually wished him a good result this weekend but I actually came to him with a reason. "Is Charlotte around somewhere?"
"She's coming tomorrow and she will be here all weekend with my family yeah, why?" He looked at me confused.
"Can you ask her for Rylee's number?" He was still looking at me confused as if he had no idea who I was talking about. "The girl who works for Mercedes.."
"Oh yeah sure man I'll ask her" he nodded, still not completely understanding but he didn't question it.I talked to Charles for another couple of minutes before I walked back to the hospitality. I hoped Charlotte would be able to give me her number so I could finally talk to her again.
