(The chapter name was inspired by the song
Love Like You from Steven Universe cause that's what I am listening to)

The show had ended as the lights brighten and the cast disappears behind the closing red fabric curtains. People shuffle their way out of their seats and into the mess of the crowd as they try to get out. Us 5 stay in our seats waiting for the horde of humans to pass before grabbing up our trash and sliding out and straight out of the large double doors into the vast sea of strangers.

We pushed our way through the mob and out into the cold evenings air. We walked around for a while, looking for Rockefeller Center so we could ice skate when we saw people gliding from a few meters away. We dash through the horde, hand in hand until we got to the ice rink. Oddly enough not many people were skating so it was almost a bare rink, minus a few children and their parents skating about.

We walk over to the skate rental in the building beside it and rent 5 pairs of skates for an hour each. Soon enough, we hit the ice. Kennedy, Kaliah, and I zooming off, skating gracefully in the middle, grabbing each others hands and all spinning in circle around the rink. As we were a giggling mess, the boys were clinging on the the railing for dear life, slipping every few seconds.

The little giggles turned into full on laughter as we watched the two struggle as we skillfully skate about. I grab onto Kaliah and Kennedys arms as I skate between them before turning around and skating backwards in front of them, doing little spins and circles occasionally. Soon, we had enough fun of teasing the boys and went to help them. After 10 minutes they got off the railing and just 20 minutes later, they were skating pretty efficiently, slipping every few moments. Ranboo caught on quicker than Alex so he was skating along with me around the rink. The song Perfect by Ed Sheeran came on and a few of the couples in the area hopped on the rink and started dancing on the ice, skating about.

I sighed and smiled at them before I felt a tap on my shoulder. Alex. "May I have this dance my friend?" He said with a stupid grin on his face. I took his hand and we skated about, him slipping every couple seconds but still managing to spin me around a bit. We were laughing about, falling a lot and just having a good time. I'm glad to have him as an amazing brother figure in my life. He spun me around and let go of my hand before another caught me and spun me towards them. Kaliah.

She smiled and continued the dance. This one more graceful than dancing with Alex. This felt like an ice skating routine, each swift, graceful movement, feeling like I wasn't even on ice, like I was dancing in the air. She grabbed my hand and spun me toward her, smiling at me before sending me back out. My hand being grabbed again by none other than Kennedy. She pulled me close and hugged me. I returned the gesture as we did a slow waltz along the ice. Keeping me in the dance, even with our eyes both focused on our steps,. She suddenly pulled me back into an embrace but whispered in my ear this time, "Go get him tiger." And pushed me away, causing me to fumble backwards, right into someone's arms.

Ranboo. I looked up as his eyes crinkled, him smiling that ridiculous grin I had grown to love. The last few lines of the song played as I heard Ranboo singing them quietly for me and only me to hear, altering the lyrics slightly, "Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms..." he whispers as he keeps me in a warm embrace. "Skating on the ice, listening to our favorite song..." he sways us back and forth, holding me close, "I have faith in what I see, now I know I have met and angel in person..." he holds me tighter as I bury my face deeper into his chest, "and they look perfect..." I hide my face so he can't see the immense blush on my cheeks, "I don't deserve this," he grabs my chin and lifts up my head so that I'm looking into his eyes, "You look perfect tonight."
