"Hmmmmm" said a teenager out loud as he scanned the items on the store shelves.

Said teenager could be confused with a young adult, even if he's in his last year of high school.

He was tall, at around 6'1, rather broad with a runner body that was shown pretty well even through his school uniform . His face was handsome, like K pop material. Looked to be half white half Asian with pale skin and medium length champagne blonde hair with red eyes with a sharp face.

His name was Jiwoo Seo

"Hmmm, this one's new, but this one's for sale and is at a good price since it's usually too expensive." He notes scanning the racks.

He then stopped.

A few minutes later, he exited the store, carrying a large backpack stuffed with pet treats for his cats.

"Shit, what was I supposed to be doing?" He thought, suddenly the remebered that he was supposed to buy groceries...

...and he blew all of his cash on pet treats again.

Well, he still had his credit card so that was good enough.

Plus, take out was pretty good too.

"Now what to eat..." he mumbled allowed. Some people gave him weird looks for this, but he ignored them.

Some girls (and guys) blushed as they looked his way, while some commented on his behavior.

Then a small child ran after a ball into the street.

"Kid where's you parents-" Jiwoo's thoughts were cut short by the honk of a car.

Before anyone could see the child be run over, Jiwoo sped forward, charging his body with mana (i'm referring to awakened power as mana) and felt the world slow down around him. he quickly moved, grabbing the child and running to the other side of the street, dropping the kid off, and running to an alley. He stopped and hid behind a dumpster as the world sped up and time flowed as normal.

Ugh, he really couldn't go more than a day without nearly exposing himself could he?

Rubbing his nose, he exited the alley, blending in with the crowd pulling his mask and hood up just in case.

In any other situation, someone could have seen or a camera could have caught him, but he made sure that wasn't the case.

The speed he moved was just too fast for the normal human eye, or even cameras to catch.

Even if cameras caught him, he could always short circuit them from afar, find out where the main computer server for the camera was located, sneak in when no one was around, and destroy it so no one could see the recording.

It was the perk of being an awakened he supposed.

His main power revolved around energy, including heat, electricity, and more. It seemed to apply to mana as well.

It explained how he could seemingly, mold it to any power he wanted or needed, but he would only get it after hours or weeks of concentration and attempt.

So far, his arsenal consisted of a couple of things.

Superhuman speed, which was his first ability that popped up. He could move far faster than the human eye could track. So fast his mom said he left after images behind. One time, when measuring just how fast he could go, he rigged a device to race to flashlight.

The place he tested at was an isolated space in the wilderness, a plane he measure 100 meters. He set a timer and as soon as it hit zero, he went as fast as he could and covered roughly eighty meters when he saw the light appear at the 100 meter marker.
